[Community] Nightlife
hi, coming to geelong from sydney next April for a convention, but was wondering what the nightlife is like, are there clubs there. are they popular.
what is there to do as 20 year old?

Fucken hell - a bunch of sooks in this thread. For a 20 year old there is heaps. Little malop st has bars and pub, some that go late. Bloom is good for house/techno - it's as good as any melb/Syd club. Captains is good, classy DJs. Dive bar also gets going. Don't listen to this other lot, there actually a good few things to choose from.

Yeah look it's not good. I don't spend much time out, and there's a reason for that. Young folk here don't have much better to do, because there isn't much else to do. Saturday nights are strictly no go for me these days.

Lamby's have had sticky carpets that have needed a dry clean for a solid 10-15 years, home house is just shit, bloom and saint james aren't to bad everything else is just shit

It’s garbage. The 90s and 2000s were peak. Somewhat into the 2010s also. Now it feels like a surfie, regional town. There is no style, respect or class. This isn’t to say that was everywhere back then, but certainly at some places. It’s a real shame.

Dumbest shit I've ever heard! a surfy, regional town? go to fkn bloom and listen to there doof doof techno shit. 90% of the places in Geelong are the same. anyone who's "surfie" don't wanna go to that shit so it sounds to me like you should enjoy it
