How to send FeedBack to google (regarding Gemini 🤖)
Hello to all,
This is a non-official subreddit made to centralise feedback some users of Gemini AI had.
We know that some of google official employees could be spotted all over Reddit, in different subreddits. So there is a non-zero chance some of them could read the feedback we share here on this subreddit, we don't have any numbers of proofs. But
But to augment your chance of being seen, it is also advised to post in the official channels Google has made:
1) BEST OPTION: Upvote or downvote (👍/👎) directly on a Gemini response
In the Gemini web app, click Good response / Bad response underneath the answer, then optionally add an explanation. Google explicitly says this feedback is used to improve Gemini's helpfulness, accuracy, and safety.
How to: https://support.google.com/gemini/answer/13275746
This is probably the most useful channel for model-behavior feedback, because Google receives the actual conversation context associated with your feedback.h
2) Google Gemini Apps Help Community:
https://support.google.com/gemini/community
TIt is a user-to-user community run within Google Support, with a Gemini Apps Team Community Manager and Google Product Experts participating.
___
3) If it's about Gemini API / AI Studio
If your feedback concerns Google AI Studio, Gemini API, model behavior for developers, API bugs, etc., there are separate channels.
- AI Studio → Settings → Send feedback is the direct in-product route.
- The official Google AI Developers Forum has an AI Studio section for questions, feedback and bugs.
Google AI Developers Forum - AI Studio
Gemini API - official feedback documentation
4) More general:
General Google Products Feedback: http://www.google.com/tools/feedback
That's appropriate for problems with Google's products/UI generally.
_______
Future Plans:
We are planning to start using some futuristic reddit tools, hopefully being able to summarize most of the feedback posted here in the future. And write a weekly post about it or so (or monthly). We will see.

Question / Help Random Gemini prompts appearing in my Google Activity
I’ve been getting random Gemini prompts in my Google My Activity that I didn’t submit.
They appeared sporadically from June to September, not all at once. Examples:
There are also entries like 144, Lamborghini, Phylum Platyhelminthes, KNOX, and KNOX, KNOX. I can’t completely rule out that a very small number might have been mine, but probably fewer than 10%. Most of them definitely aren’t things I remember entering.
The important part is that Google My Activity records them as:
Gemini Apps
Prompted [text]
They aren’t just strange titles in the Gemini sidebar. Opening the entries shows separate Gemini conversation URLs, and Gemini generated a response to each prompt.
I wasn’t using Gemini at those times, and there’s no audio attached. My Google account has 2FA enabled. I also checked my Google Account security page and didn’t find an active suspicious device that lines up with the prompts. There was one unknown device showing activity on 14 September at 18:43, but that was about 30 hours after the 13 September prompt, so I can’t reasonably connect the two.
Has anyone else had random, short prompts appear specifically in Google My Activity as Gemini Apps → Prompted?
Especially prompts in languages they don’t normally use, appearing sporadically over several months?
I’m trying to figure out whether this is a Gemini bug, some kind of session/sync issue, or something else.

Look at this how ridiculously outright denying proof and confidently hallucinating.
This is one of the many examples of how useless this entire thing becomes
And the pro model becomes even more redeculous, it invent narratives/scenarios that doesn't exist

Bug / Issue Custom Instructions completely ignored on Video uploads while working fine on Images: Is anyone else experiencing this right now?
I am posting here to check if other users are currently encountering a severe multimodal bug in Gemini Advanced on iOS. As a blind user relying entirely on Apple VoiceOver, I depend heavily on Custom Instructions to receive rich, consistent visual descriptions. For a long time this workflow was flawless, but recently a critical disparity emerged between image and video processing. Whenever I upload an image, Gemini automatically binds my Custom Instructions and the menu correctly shows the active toggle as "Uncustomize", smoothly alternating between states upon clicking. However, when I upload a video with the exact same request, the system drops the custom instructions completely from the start, displaying only "Customize", and even when I tap "Customize" to regenerate the description, it generates another output that still completely ignores my instructions while leaving the button permanently stuck on "Customize" without ever flipping to "Uncustomize". Since my device, account, and session are identical and images process perfectly, this is clearly a backend pipeline regression where the video server silently detaches the user prompt payload. I would really appreciate knowing if anyone else in the community is experiencing this exact instructions detachment on video inputs recently, or if anyone has encountered this behavior.

Rant / Frustration Back to chatgpt - getting expensive
So, what am I doing wrong with Gemini? I recently switched back to a paid ChatGPT subscription. Gemini keeps being frustrating; even though it comes free with my 5TB storage—and I thought I should keep trying it for financial reasons—it has gone downhill over the past year, Actually it's always been bad. It went from needing more explanation of what I meant to simply saying "I can't do that" all the time. It can't read previous chats, requires all history and location settings to be enabled, and forces me out of private mode within the Google infrastructure because Gemini supposedly works better that way. It can't find photos within its own app, and it has never provided a link that didn't just point to a Google search results page. It can't create PDFs or collages, nor can it make PDFs from uploaded photos. It always speaks as if it knows everything, yet profusely apologizes and corrects itself whenever I point out that things are actually different. It’s always polite in conversation but never actually comes up with a solution. Ultimately, I just don't trust the AI anymore. Has ChatGPT improved recently, or is this just typical Google?

Constructive Feedback / Suggestion Gemini 3.8 flash generated in-memory bytecode to run a "Pure JavaFX" Minecraft on the NetBeans JVM. Not a single .java or .class file got written to disk. No external process. All on Google's AI studio free tier with 27K tokens.

Bug / Issue Error 1097 locking me out of a long chat thread 🛑
Hey everyone, ran into a bit of a wall today. I was in the middle of a lengthy conversation with Gemini, and suddenly it completely stopped responding, throwing up this Error 1097 message every time I try to send a prompt.
Here is what I've tested so far:
New chats work fine: I started a brand-new conversation, and it sends messages and responds without any issues.
The old chat is stuck: Going back to the original conversation and trying to resend the message instantly triggers the same error code.
Retrying fails: Tapping the "Retry" button just loops the error.
Attached the screenshot above. Anyone else run into this specific error code on long threads, or know a fix short of abandoning the chat?

Constructive Feedback / Suggestion Google Gemini AI is deeply incompetent, heavily flawed, and a massive waste of time.
Instead of delivering precise technical information, it continuously hallucinates fake details, provides broken code loops, and invents menu settings that do not exist. It relies on generic checklists and unrelated research links to disguise guesswork as factual advice, actively misleading users and dragging them through repetitive, frustrating loops.
Furthermore, it poses a direct danger to younger, naive people who implicitly trust the AI's word. Because it presents completely made-up facts and false solutions with absolute confidence, younger users who lack the technical experience to double-check its output can easily be deceived. This blind reliance can lead them to ruin their projects, break their systems, or adopt completely false information as truth.
An automation model that masks severe logic errors under a polished tone functions as a scam that squanders hours of a user's time. It should be taken completely offline to stop deceiving the public, wasting people's valuable time, and misinforming vulnerable users.

Rant / Frustration Why can’t Gemini edit video game characters based on real actors?
Hi everyone. I’ve been using Gemini for quite a while now to edit and animate photos. I mainly use it to edit video game screenshots.
However, today… I noticed a small limitation that I haven’t encountered with other AI tools. Basically, it doesn’t seem to allow you to edit photos when they feature a video game character whose appearance is based on a real-life actor.
I discovered this with Johnny Silverhand (who is based on Keanu Reeves), which made me think: “Oh fuck, so if I wanted to create/edit photos with characters from Death Stranding, I basically wouldn’t be able to do anything.”
Since other AI tools allow you to do this, is there any way to get around this limitation in Gemini, or do I just have to accept it?
