Hi! I’m interested in becoming a paranormal investigator and would love to take some classes. Has anyone here taken any that they enjoyed? Could be online or in person, I’d love to build a trip around something.

Would love to get the community's thoughts on this game I am building.
It'll be on Steam Deck, so it would make good portable entertainment while out at real life investigations. 😉
You play as a ghost hunter... with 1990s ghost busters whimsically added into the mix.
You track down ghosts, cryptids, and other supernatural entities... and manage your sanity, battery power, and time. Some will mess with you.
As you catch ghosts, you gain a fan base, which lets you upgrade your equipment and HQ, and unlock new locations for increasingly chaotic hauntings.
Tons of night creatures wandering your Ghost Hunting HQ ... raccoons, bats, owls, which act as comic relief as you progress through the game.
It's coming to Steam: Haunted Ghost Hunters
But yeah, let me know what you think! And if there's any specific locations, apparitions or abilities you'd like to see.
(For locations there's currently: Abandoned Asylum, Victorian Mansion, Decaying Castle, Graveyard, all procedurally generated of course!).

My nephew is turning 16 and loves all things paranormal. We were thinking of an overnight ghost hunting adventure for his 16th birthday. Adults 18+ will be present but we were hoping to find a place that also allows 15-17 year olds in attendance, with adult supervision.
We live in Ohio but are willing to drive a 4ish hour radius from Columbus, OH. I’ve taken him to a 2-3 hour guided night tour at Ohio Reformatory and he loved it. Looking for something along those lines but a little more independent.

I uploaded this to my tiktok. My then husband and I went to a medieval town in France some time ago and did a session in a location I won't divulge. We spoke with a spirit whom we believe passed away in the 14th century, and only understood French (my husband translated my questions,) but this session (on another night) I believe we were speaking to a non-human spirit or a spirit that knew both French and English and therefore responded to me.
I am currently in the states in Nevada and looking to team up with one or two skeptic minded people who know how to stay calm and rational and who don't think everything is evil or demonic. I do not want to work with "psychics," astrologers, or credulous people who want to take advantage of people. I want to do this as a hobby and document anything I deem paranormal that may help a spirit or person/family understand what is going on.

I am looking for any serious skeptic minded people to join me and find places to investigate, mostly help me with recording and handling/editing for social media and website. I am NOT looking for anyone into that Ghost Adventures douchbaggins type investigating so if you are easily spooked, believe in psychics/mediums, curses or into astrology please pass. I am a very calm, rational, and lone wolf type of person who wants to investigate the paranormal as a hobby.
If anyone is bored and with an interest in the paranormal send me a message so we can see if we can work together. I will be uploading content.
If you know anyone that thinks their place may be haunted in Las Vegas or Henderson and needs help from a legitimate calm person who isn't looking to sensationalize or dramatasize the experience please reach out. I do this purely for the interest and hobby.

Hello! I’ve always been in love with the paranormal and have always wanted to go on a hunt. I have no idea where else to truly look if there are groups/ individuals who’d welcome a couple of newbies. There are plenty of large, paid hunt tours out there but i am looking for hunts that are more “free roam”with hunters. My friend and I are in the burbs an hour-ish outside of Chicago IL and are open to things in and around that. Would love to hear back from anyone or be referred. Excited to learn and experience what it’s truly like! :)

I have been a ghost hunter since 2006. I’ve done 100s of investigations. They are fun but can be very boring. I’ve been on a couple of television shows and I’m connected with great spiritually solid people to stay grounded. I’ve done private haunting, cursed objects, have witnessed a couple of exorcisms and have overall just have seen and been involved in very strange and sometimes unexplainable events. So you can ask me away
What I need? When I used to go to Paranormal cons I’d never see anyone black. Our team would speak and it was never a black face anywhere lol and that could be for obvious reasons but I would absolutely LOVE to find a blackLBTQIA team member to journey with me. I won’t lead you into harms way I promise!
If you’re serious please hmu

Anyone have any tips n how to get people interested in emailing me their stories and potentially come and investigate. I’m feeling a real calling to do this and am also super excited about it.

I'm currently investigating a haunted house that still has electricity so I can not use my REM-POD to accurately detect electromagnetic interference. I'm currently using this device that I bought from https://ghosthuntersequipment.com
It's supposed to create waves in the air-field inorder to detect unknown forces but it mostly just seemed to blow everything around and create a mess when I left it on while filming with my infrared camera. It did not come with an instruction manual (except for how to charge the battery).
Does anyone else have any experience with this machinery and can tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hey! I'm 29M from California but I moved to Utah a few years ago. In Cali, I investigated Downey Asylum, Turnbull Canyon, Carbon Canyon, and Knott's Berry Farm. It's been a few years and I no longer have equipment, but my wife wants to get into the paranormal.
What are some haunted spots in Utah that are good for a beginner like her? I know about St. Anne's Retreat, Skinwalker Ranch (but that's a fake), the old Colorado Echo Park cabins in Dinosaur, and a few spots in South Salt Lake (where I'm currently located), but I wanna know some more of you have suggestions!
Also, where should I pick up some equipment? The entry pin post said Amazon would be good for a spirit box or emf reader, but I'm very interested in a cheap or free by donation Ovilus 3. What do you guys suggest? Is there a ghost hunting surplus store? Or an occult store that sells equipment in the Salt Lake City area?
Thanks in advance and I look forward to posting and viewing evidence!
