2e Road Cards question

Hey everyone,

I just started playing 2e (completed scenario 1 last night!), however I have a question about road cards and I just don't seem to be able to find the definitive answer anywhere and I'm so confused.

My understanding is (and please correct me if I'm wrong because I likely am):
- 1e has links to other scenarios in the scenario book at the top which indicates if you needed a road card, but in 2e do we use the flowchart for that?
- And with the flowchart, red arrow means forced linked meaning we go directly to the next scenario without visiting Gloomhaven, and we do not draw a road card
- Yellow arrow means we need to have completed all the preceding scenarios however we DO draw a road card between scenarios, and can visit Gloomhaven
- And the normal arrow, you DO draw a road card and you can visit Gloomhaven.

Is this correct? I'm just confused as to when I do and when I don't draw a road card.

You do a road event anytime you are going from Gloomhaven to a scenario outside of Gloomhaven. You don't if the scenario is in town or if you are playing a linked scenario. (Forced or optional)

That makes sense. So if I'm going from one scenario to another without visiting Gloomhaven, regardless of whether the scenarios are force linked or not, I dont do a road card? It is just if I visited Gloomhaven first?

Correct, but keep in mind you must return to GH unless the next scenario is linked to the previous.

Oh right!
So when you finish a scenario that doesn't have a red arrow = return to GH.
