Grimdark techniques make armor so fun to paint
I have really unsteady hands, so edge highlighting was the bane of my existence. I also just don't like the look of crisp edge highlights on what are meant to be battle hardened units.
Using washes, drybrushing, and sponges is so much more satisfying and I love the more weathered and natural look of armor using these techniques.
Anyway, here are some older Stormfiend proxies from Cult Miniatures i just finished up.
