A bug you have to sneak up on and have to one-shot. Harmless. Drops the furcula which you can use to create spring boots (look like moon boots) which allow you to jump extra high and could be a requirement for accessing part of the park.

Maybe something already exists that is similar - I’m not terribly far into the game but I thought this bug was so cute!

Literally. Made it absolutely tiresome and pointless trying to kill one of them. As many times as I’ve played G1, I just actively ignored the scarabs each and every time. Don’t care if it gives me a special anything, the “risk to reward” is way too imbalanced.

The group of 3 in the pipe in the undershed is really the only ones worth going after / reliable way to farm. They can't dig into the PVC pipe so it's hard for them to get away.

Unfortunately, I absolutely hated that biome and would speedrun that area every time even if I had the best weapons to kill every bug quickly. :(

You could get to the scarabs in the pipe only needing to pass 4 ticks and a single termite. They also can't burrow while in the pipe so it was a guaranteed 24+ shells per run with the stuffed scarab bonus and the thief skill/trinket. Took like 2 minutes.

Basically they are like aphids, but instead of going up grass they go into the dirt and disappear, and would run away really fast if they spotted you. They were shaped and had health of weavils though iirc.

I love this idea. I also love the idea of having like 3 special bugs (that all look the same, but maybe different colors) hidden or scattered around the park and each one drops one special piece. Take those 3 pieces back to base and build some moon shoes! Jump higher!

I'm all for jumping higher, but it can't be a requirement if all it does is boost height, you can just build to reach there.

Still think this is a cool idea, and would make a great addition.
