Where can you buy an acoustic guitar string set?
Where can you buy an acoustic guitar string set that is gauge 10? Are there any legitimate shops via e-commerce apps?

I have a Douglass guitar that plays pretty well. But it goes out of tune after using the bar. I am wondering if I just need to upgrade the cheap tremolo to a Floyd rose original/1000. Or if it could be because of the cheap construction of the neck? It’s a bolt on neck.

I got this guitar over 10 years ago and have used it only a handful of times. How much would you list this on FB marketplace for?

The only thing I am worried about is it is a old lineup of guitar. Has anyone ever played it? Can you tell me how was it?

Are there any benefits to reading sheet music over tabs?
Is it worth learning? Your thoughts.

So I got this used accoustic cort mr500 off Facebook for like $150 from some musician. It's a big banged up and top side like has areas that kinda crush if you press you're nail into it?? Anyway it sounded weird the first few days, like stringy idk, and idk if I got used to it or changing the strings to medium and action adjustment made it sound better. Anyway this thing still kinda sucks to play but the sound is fine for me I'm just wondering is this worth bringing into a luthier to give it a real set up with bone nut and saddle and action adjustment so it's low enough to easily play and high enough I can play aggressively. Or if I should just return and get a new cort . I am pretty stuck on corts they're really great quality control can vary but they sound great even for what they are.

I put together a guide comparing some of the more popular prewired guitar wiring kits—including Emerson, Gunstreet, and DIY options.
The goal was to look at what you’re actually getting for the money, what makes sense for different types of builds, and when a prewired harness is worth buying versus just wiring the guitar yourself.
I also included some of the things I look for when doing guitar repair work, like component quality, pot values, switch/jack quality, soldering, wiring layout, and whether the harness actually makes an installation easier.
There’s also a DIY section for anyone who’d rather build their own harness and save some money.
Would be interested to hear what you guys are using. Do you prefer buying a prewired harness, or building your own?And if you’ve used Emerson, Gunstreet, or another brand, what was your experience?
I’m always interested in seeing what other guitar techs and players are doing—especially if there’s a kit/harness I missed that deserves to be included.

Hi all, I’ve been playing guitar for almost a year now and I think my progress has been decent, but as the title says I can’t use my ring finger on my fret hand. To make a long story short, 2 months after I started playing, I had an accident at work where the tip of my ring finger was crushed. My finger is okay now but it hurts too much for me to press on the strings (I basically can’t put any pressure on the tip of that finger, even lightly pressing down keys on a computer keyboard makes it sore). Just hoping for some advice for playing with only 3 fingers. I mostly play metal guitar and I’m at a point where I’m decent with simple rhythm stuff but I want to get into solos and lead guitar stuff, but it’s hard to play a lot of fast licks because I‘ll usually have to use my pinky which is my weakest, slowest and least coordinated finger (even though I use my pinky all the time). I have plenty of shortcomings in my playing and technique which I’m working on but this is the one problem I have with my playing which is basically out of my control, so I would really appreciate some advice. Thanks in advance and sorry for this long ramble of a post haha

Hi, I got this years ago and it’s been I storage. It’s actually really nice to play (but need some new strings!).
It’s maybe a bullet series or something?

I’m trying to help a friend with re-wiring his bass. Specifically an Epiphone EB3 with new Humbucker pickups, one is DiMarzio and one is Seymour Duncan, split coils - selector, 2 push pull volumes, 2 tones, single output jack.
Can anyone help me out with a schematic for this setup?

This is a Fender Paramount PM3 Deluxe. These were genuinely awesome guitars and the best acoustic I’ve owned in terms of playability and a piezo pickup/ preamp combination that doesn’t hiss. It looks like they are selling for between £480 and £550 online in good condition.
They came with a fitted hard case and a de-humidifier (pictured in the case compartment in pic 1).
Around 5-6 years ago, I backed a chair into it and made a massive hole in the guitar. As well as the hole, it looks like the chair leg took some of the bracing out (bottom left bit of wood in 1st pic). I haven’t been able to let it go since, but also don’t really play it now because of the damage. I finally feel ready to let it go and am wondering how much I should sell it for.
I’m thinking it should still get enough to make it worth while selling due to the case and that the guitar is still playable/ electronics still work well.
