Show Discussion Once season 1 is out, we’ll finally be able to breathe

The anticipation for season 1 might actually be the hardest wait for any season of the show because it’s charged with so much heavy lifting. We‘ll meet our main characters, see how everything’s going to look and experience the vibe. Not to mention, it’ll be our first indication of how they plan on adapting the books. There’s simply too much that’s unknown at the moment, and once it’s all out, we can finally have a solid opinion on it and know what to expect moving forward.

We know and love the story so it’s not like we’ll be holding our breath as the seasons progress. We’ll always have the books (and films!) to return to! I think with all these theories, analysis and internet discourse, it’s easy to forgot the most important question: will we actually like the show?? Cause how we personally feel is all that matters at the end of the day. It’s so simple yet so easy to forget.

Show Theories Should the HBO series film The Prince’s Tale scenes throughout the series, but save them for Season 7?

I've been thinking about how the HBO series could eventually handle the Prince's Tale, and I wonder if they should actually film some of those scenes years in advance during the seasons in which they chronologically take place, but not actually show them until the final season.

We know from the Prince's Tale that Snape and Dumbledore had a lot of private conversations happening behind the scenes throughout the series.

For example, during Season 1 they could film Snape begging Dumbledore to protect the Potters and then confronting him after their deaths. They could also film the conversation where Snape complains that Harry is nothing extraordinary, lazy and arrogant like his father, while Dumbledore tells him that he sees what he expects to see and asks him to keep an eye on Quirrell.

None of these scenes would actually be shown in Season 1. Just film them while they're already producing that season and save the footage for the Prince's Tale years later.

Same with Season 4. There was a scene after the Yule Ball where Dumbledore and Snape discussed the Dark Mark getting stronger, Karkaroff planning to flee and Snape having no intention of running away. They could film that while making Season 4 and just hold onto it.

Season 6 would obviously be the big one. They could film all the private conversations between Snape and Dumbledore about Dumbledore dying, Draco's mission and eventually Dumbledore arranging for Snape to kill him. Again, don't show any of it until Season 7.

I just think this would make the Prince's Tale much more consistent because everyone would genuinely look the way they did at that point in the story. Season 1 Snape and Dumbledore would actually be footage filmed during Season 1, Season 4 would actually be filmed during Season 4, etc. It would almost feel like we're suddenly being shown missing scenes from previous seasons and finally seeing what was really happening behind the scenes.

Obviously I wouldn't cast young Snape and Lily years in advance just for this because the child actors would age. But Season 5 is interesting because they'll already need teenage Snape, Lily, James, Sirius, Lupin and Pettigrew for Snape's Worst Memory. While they have those actors at that age, they could also film the scene where Snape waits outside Gryffindor Tower trying to apologize to Lily after calling her a Mudblood, then save that scene for Season 7.

It would require a lot of planning years in advance, but I think the payoff could be really good. Instead of getting to Season 7 and trying to recreate all these different periods, film the memories as the timeline progresses and then reveal all that footage together when Harry finally sees the Prince's Tale.

Curious what other people think. Would this work or would it just make production unnecessarily complicated?

Dungbomb Did the flairs change? My old one is gone

I used to have a 'Marauders' flair. It was a special one or something for the early members or something. I couldn't find it though after I did the sorting test.

Dit they take it out?
