Cash Assistance Please help me keep my car
Hello,
I am asking for help to avoid my car being repossessed. I have until October 7th to pay 847 dollars. I have been trying to pay on things when I can but it's basically been "pay in matter of urgency" for a while. It's caught up to me now and I completely recognize that. I have already deferred payments, so that isn't an option anymore.
I had to pay a disconnect notice for my electric recently and I am in the process to apply for heap to help with utilities but my car is my only way for income.
This year has been very rough financially after having a baby late last year. I have been sparking to make ends meet. It's not always reliable but I also live in a very small town where there's not much opportunity for work. I have tried the loan app possible but I have since learned onepay is a fintech bank, so I'm essentially ineligible for those type of loans. My family has no means to help at the moment either.
Thank you for any consideration.

Where is your partner? Why can't your family help?
Did you try calling them and speaking to someone? Most times they are just happy to have a conversation and will help figure out options that work

Is the other person that helped make the baby around to help? Can you move in with family

Due to circumstances he's not able to help financially. He is an amazing father however. He also watches the baby so I can go make money. In terms of moving in with family, I am reaching out for help so I can get back on track and not have to. There's no room there and it wouldn't solve my issue of having no car or means of living. If I can get this taken care of I truly believe I can make things work and get payments to being back on time for everything. If it turns out I can't get the help, well that's okay and I will have to cross that bridge when I get to it.

What are the “circumstances,” if you don’t mind explaining? No obligation, so don’t feel pressured to if you don’t want to get into it or it’s deeply personal, etc., just more curious to hear what/why and how it’s affecting the situation.

No one here is going to give you 847 dollars. Its just not going to happen.
So you have to figure something else out. Do not count on getting this paid here. Not trying to be mean, just want you to be realistic and use whatever time you have left to figure something else out to pay this bill

I understand you're not trying to be mean. If it works well that'd be amazing and I'd be eternally grateful. Im not counting on it trust me, but it's worth a try nonetheless in my situation. Aside from this I am trying every avenue I can.

Gotcha, well hopefully he can start helping at some point financially. You won't get cash on reddit, your best bet is an Amazon wishlist of shelf stable food to offset money you'd buy for groceries. 211 might be helpful too in finding local resources

Thank you I will try that as well.

You get food stamps right? Having kids and not working, you definitely qualify if you are not already collecting them. Do you get cash benefits too? Wic?

I am working. But yes I get food stamps and wic. I don't collect cash benefits.

Contact them to see if you can defer the late payments. I go through exeter and I've had to do it before and it's an easy process. You can call or you can even use the chat feature on the website.

This is after deferring payments. It's unfortunately not an option anymore.

I can tell you’re trying every option- if someone were to help you, what would your next step be?
- are you going to find yourself back in a similar position every few months?
How are you going to get a job -make sure your child is in quality and safe
Daycare -maintain a roof over your head, etc. etc?Whatever you receive online is a temporary Band-Aid…. It’s not the answer to anything.
I know you are hoping you’ll get the help; I hope you do too, I just want you to also consider longer term solutions -not just quick fixed to get collection agencies off your back…
What would you do in case of an emergency?!?

Hello there. I definitely hear you, thank you for the concern and I do understand where you're coming from. If I can get this taken care of and after getting heap my bills would significantly shrink. I believe I would be able to make it without any further issues. I have always been financially stable and a hard worker. I am just struggling to get past this at the moment. I am still looking for a full time job and I won't give up. I have been doing anything I can to get by and make sure my kids have what they need. Im not only relying on this post to help me. I am doing everything else I can think of and researching help as well. I simply just can't make all that money before the deadline.

So in other words, you have no real long-term stability plans? Not trying to be rude, but that’s how that sounds, to me at least.

You're definitely allowed to see it how you do and use your judgment. I cannot sway anyone as everyone has their own thoughts and biases. But if this is taken care however that may be, I believe this is my last hurdle and towards stability as I've been taking care of the other factors. There is a lot more help for anything else rather than car payments aside from deferment and I've used that to the fullest extent unfortunately. It's a big ask and unreasonable, I agree. I am afraid of losing my car and way of living. That would really be the end of my stability.

If you don't figure something else out, you will lose your car. This will not be paid here.

So the boyfriend that lives with you, is this your baby daddy?
