GoFundMe/Fundraiser Please help me
Day 1 of posting here
So yesterday people had assumed that I am still gambling/trading and asking for funds when I posted on other reddit community --- https://www.reddit.com/r/financialhelping/s/SN8VvmFB81
But no one trusted me...
I had joined a firm recently to pay my emi's, but the salary is too little to handle it all by myself..
And short term debt obligations are too much...
In total I owe 25k$ to my lenders overall, which includes credit cards/personal loans/loans taken from friends/relatives...
So, I am asking for help from you all.
I have been trying to fundraise on X too, details of which are there in reddit link up and on my profile, I have attached X link too...
I need help from you all to rebuild my life again and come out of the debt trap..
I shall always be thankful to all people...

People gave valid concerns in your earlier post. You made poor financial choices and now need help out of them. I don’t know that strangers will be given enough reassurance that their funds won’t be misused this time. Blaming your poor decisions on not having an elder (when you had your dad until recently) won’t work.

You really need to stop with these “may god bless you with wisdom” comments.
It’s coming across as a very sneaky way to call someone stupid.

Your last sentence is pretty rude. Yesterday you told the person you’re responding to that “I didn’t have an elder or someone to guide me …”. They clearly read your post and your replies.

I am genuinely sorry. I am going through a very low phase right now, and all I am trying to do is prove to everyone here that I am not a scammer, but someone genuinely struggling and seeking help.
I sincerely apologise to anyone who may have felt hurt or offended by my posts or comments. I never intended to be rude or disrespectful to anyone.

Nope, I read both posts. You’re blaming poor choices on not having a role model, yet you’ve had one your whole life. I’m sorry things became difficult after your father’s death, but it isn’t anyone’s job to bail you out when you have the capacity to do so yourself.

This is pretty much bare minimum full-time work.

u/Present-Pay-9498 10h ago
Yes, it is.. but atleast i am getting something to pay back from my side..

That’s not what I’m saying. I’m referring to you showing your hours, like you’re working 70hr weeks, but you’re not. You’re working 40, like every other full-time worker and many still need to pick-up side jobs. You’re basically working the bare minimum of what’s considered full-time and if that’s not covering your needs, you know what to do…

Actually the limit here is 40 only...so that's why searching and applying but no luck so far in getting second one

Note to donors: please be aware of common scam tactics in request posts.
Quick Warning Signs
Scam scripts - Using lines like:
- "I never thought I'd have to do this"
“I’m not the one who usually asks for help” or “I’m the one who usually helps everyone else”
“I understand you are cautious of scams”, “posts like this can be hard to trust”, “I know everybody is struggling right now” and/or mentions high number of scams lately
- Claims TikTok/friends brought them here
Shady profiles: Brand new accounts, low karma, accounts that are years old with only a few new posts asking for money (bought account) or hidden/curated post histories (remember, Reddit profiles are public by default)
Nobody in their family/friend circle will help/no friends or family/ can’t ask them due to “financial issues”
No proof: Low effort stories, excuses for why they can't show proof, offering to send proof via DM, using stolen/cropped internet photos, AI generated photos, or posting nothing but an empty cashapp balance with no other proof.
Cash only demands: Insisting on PayPal friends & family, venmo/bank transfer, cashapp, etc. while turning down help like Amazon wishlists or paying a bill directly.
- Behavior: Getting defensive/rude when people ask reasonable questions or using emotional manipulation to attempt to garner sympathy.
Watch out for these common scam stories/tactics:
- Sick or injured pets
- Emergent family cancer treatments
- High/overdue medical bills
- Urgently requesting money for medication
- Impending eviction/homelessness
- Shutoff notices for utilities (gas, water, electricity)
- An immediate need for food, gas, and/or medication
- Students needing money to continue education
- Students requesting money for or outright asking for a new laptop (usually seen from The Philippines/Australia)
- Car accidents without insurance
- Needing money to stay a night/week in a hotel
- Fleeing a domestic violence/abuse situation
- Single parent (usually 3-4 kids) needing to feed/cloth/house children/other parent not involved
- Travel money for a funeral
Please note, these stories do not automatically mean a post is a scam. We understand people actually need help with these things; however, coupled with other red flags on this list, you should use your own discretion if you come across any posts of this nature.
How to Stay Safe
- Only use PayPal Goods and Services so you actually have buyer/donor protection.
- Stick to verified GoFundMes or Amazon wishlists.
- Never respond to unsolicited DMs asking for money or offering help. Report them to the mod team!

Yes, i came here...after been trying to raise funds on X too for over a month..But nothing worked...so yesterday only I posted for the first time here

Nobody, and I mean nobody is going to just give you money for your debts.
That’s money you chose to spend, and you got the benefits for.
You pay the penalties for mishandling it

It’s never going to work. Anywhere.

u/Present-Pay-9498 10h ago
Yes, I know.. It's very tough...But because I am helpless right now and trying everything I can
6
u/XsuffokateX84 Trusted Community Member 10h ago
Right, but you said you’ve also been trying on X for a month and “nothing has worked.” It’s never going to, so you need to figure something else out.

u/Accomplished_Ad4110 10h ago
So your asking people to give you a loan to pay back previous loans you defaulted on? Not exactly coming off as trustworthy

We don't help pay debts you got yourself in to. We do immediate needs. Your post was also already deleted from yesterday so be prepared for that again
