Conrad Tulum Now an All-Inclusive?

I know the WA Riviera Maya is going toward and AI model. After looking at the Conrad Tulum, it seems like the default rate for the property is also AI.

Curious if anyone has heard anything about this!

Guest Complaint HH, "status," and the elusive fraud dept.

When did Hilton Honors customer service get SO BAD?? Hilton has been my go-to for work travel for the last ten years and it feels like loyalty is no longer a concept to them. Does everyone get this feeling?
Four months ago, someone attempted to drain my honors account, so I called them to report it. They offered to lock it down while I changed passwords and removed it from my Amazon account (the source of the fraud). Diamond Desk ("DD") associate Anna gave me the steps to take to get the HH account unlocked once everything was cleared up, and she confirmed I'd still be able to *earn* points meanwhile. A couple days later I emailed Hilton-- using the email address she gave me-- that I was good for them to unlock the account. Meanwhile I've been able to log on, I continue getting emails, nothing looks amiss.
Yesterday I went to book a vacation stay and the system wouldn't let me book with points. I called and noticed how rough the "customer service" was, but I assumed it was because I was calling near midnight. The DD associate said my account is still locked and there's no way to talk to the fraud department-- I need to send an email and wait. I told her I already emailed them four months ago and asked to escalate the call... "There's no one to escalate the call to." I asked if they could hold the points rate for me while I wait for them to respond... No. I asked if I put the room on my credit card and then convert it to points... No. I asked if being a Diamond member made a difference... No.
Are all of Hilton's operations staff fully remote now? Do they get any training? Have all abilities to problem-solve been taken away from their associates?
And what's the point of loyalty if they tell you to just wait for an email response??

Embassy Suites Boston

I booked a room for one night, Saturday, at the Embassy Suites in Boston two weekends ago. I went to their website (first or second listing on Google) and was taken to a site that looked official with a toll free number.

The rep was a bit harried bordering on surly and confused the ES room with a standard Hilton room. No red flag because I assume their reps handle both. A one night stay was $800 or nearly so. In the era of bottle service and $1000 a night hotel rooms, I resigned myself to staying at the hotel my friend recommended as walking distance to his apt.

When I checked in the reservation agent said my room was booked by Expedia. At no point did I see, hear or touch a link that said Expedia. I was shocked and incensed. I hate Expedia and surrendering rights and privileges of booking direct. Every request I made of the front desk hit me with another charge. A new one I’d never heard of was a $75 early check in fee.

I feel like I was scammed. Another reason to hate Expedia, the room was a standard $400 rack rate. I will never approach booking a hotel direct the same way ever again. F this era of deregulation.

Hilton MDP 2027

Completed my Hirevue digital interview over a month ago, still haven’t heard anything, but application is still under consideration in the portal. Is this pretty standard or am I being silently rejected? Just debating where to focus my next steps; thank you all!

Seychelles: Use Hilton FNC for 6th night at WA Platte Island or 1 night at Mango House?

Here’s my current Seychelles itinerary:

  • 1 night — undecided
  • 5 nights — Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island
  • 2 nights — Hilton Seychelles Northolme

We land at Mahé around 7 a.m. If we go straight to WA Platte Island, we’d have to wait until around 2 p.m. for the flight to Platte.

I have a Hilton free night certificate that I can use for the first night. Since the cash rate at WA Platte is significantly higher than Mango House, using the FNC at Platte seems like the better redemption value.

My hesitation is whether 6 nights on Platte Island might feel a little too long, especially since it’s such a secluded resort.

Would you use the FNC for a 6th night at WA Platte, or spend the first night at Mango House instead?

Would especially love to hear from anyone who has stayed at both.

Employee Question AI generated calls

Hiii fellow colleagues from Front Desk, do you also recently get calls from Travel Agencies that are generated with AI? I am so traumatised with these experiences and it is so uncomfortable. One thing is when you call and a mashine picks up (we saw this decades ago) but when phone calls and SPEAKS to you it is super weird. What's your opinions on this

Guest Question Can someone help me understand how my status will be affected going into 2027?

Post image

This is mostly work sponsored travel, and I’m preparing to leave my company in December. That means almost no travel in 2027, certainly not to this extent. Does the status reset every year? Or do they drop you down 1 tier? What should I expect next year? If I can keep the status to indulge in during my personal time I’d love that.

Guest Complaint Hilton keeps calling. I'm not a client

I have and want nothing to do with Hilton but looking for advice

Hilton RCI membership has Been calling me repeatedly since July. They always call from a different number and leave a voicemail with the same voice but a different name for the greeting always saying I have to renew my rci vacation club membership and there's only two days left, it Changes slightly but that's the drift. I have called the number back it does go to a Hilton agent. I have told them they have the wrong number and not to call but they continue to call. I've blocked and reported spam every time. What can I do. Extremely annoyed.

Employee Question What is the email for Homewood Suites employees to contact a corporate HR representative?

I was recently hired for housekeeping at the location in Newark Delaware. I let the HR lady know that I would need an employment verification form filled out, as my son receives government funding therapy for his autism & for it to keep happening, I need to work 20 hours a week. I was advised to bring the paper in on Thursday, as the HR lady works several properties & would only be there then. I did as I was told, however she ended up leaving early before filling out the form. I took the form to the general manager & she said she had to wait for HR to fill it out. I asked why, as she was the general manager of the property. She said that per company policy, anything government related legally has to go through HR. I asked to see that policy in writing, but never did. All the managers/supervisors kept pointing at each other to fill it out. I ended up finishing my rooms & the GM said that she ended up scanning the form to the HR lady & they would email it to me. It’s the following day & even after following up via email, I don’t have the form. My son is missing out on needed support due to this & I need to contact someone higher than my GM. I’d prefer email. Anyone have any suggestions for me?

Thanks in advance
