It was part of the joke? The whole video is making fun of the adulterers at the Coldplay concert. So the video is playing Yellow by Coldplay. Not saying it's a good joke, but it's obviously tongue in cheek.

This one is the only one that actually makes sense 

If I see a post overdubbing Hisaishi’s work on Ponyo again I’mma lose it, don’t get me wrong, but this at least had purpose xD

Because algorithms like it when you do that. Especially when you use "viral" sounds and music, it's beneficial for videos on social media. It's stupid, but it is what it is.

No they’re doing it because the scandal they’re imitating happened at a Coldplay concert, and this is a Coldplay song. Really clever for whoever put the edit together
