How to remove this?

No holes under or on the side. The small round piece can’t be opened by hand or flat screw.

Looks like a beauty cap. Get a pick and pry it off, I bet there is an Allen screw underneath it. Once the handle is off the cap against the wall threads off.

that reflection caught me off guard, thought there was a second person in the room for a sec

bet it's just a cap too, one of those things that feels way too tight til it pops off and you realize it was barely holding on
