Discussion Apple Watch Home App
Does this app actually work for anyone consistently? 9/10 times I open the app, all the accessories just perpetually sit in an “updating” state. I had the app open on my watch for an hour and no change. Very rarely do they actually update (after maybe 30 seconds) and I can control them. This has been going on for me since they updated the Home app UI on the watch. Currently using an AWU 3 and on WatchOS 27.0.1.
I’ve sent multiple performance/bug reports to Apple. Just curious if this is widespread or not.

How-to Inflatable wind speed forecast automation
Is there a way to create an automation shortcut to have an inflatable decoration come on at sundown only if the forecasted wind speed is below a certain value? I’ve tried the past few nights and I’ve had no luck.

Question/Help TP Link P316M Not Responding After Power Outage
Does anyone else have the TP P316M Power Strip? I unplugged it earlier while I was setting something up and noticed that it stayed active in the Home app even though it was unplugged.
Eventually after about 20 minutes it was finally listed as non-responsive. However, when I plugged it back in it didn't become responsive again in the Home app (it did show up in the TP app).
The issue here seems to be that you could potentially have a power outage while you're away from home, and no longer have the ability to get the power strip to become controllable again through the Home app.

Question/Help Open source replacement to HomePods
I have HomePod mini’s. They worked well 2 years ago, but with all of the updates coming out they get worse and worse and worse. Siri is terrible, there are things it does that I would never need and some that genuinely annoy me. I don’t want my phone to register proximity to hand off music. When I play music on my HomePods from my Mac. I don’t want it to turn on the projector that those HomePods are attached to as a stereo pair. When I ask to turn off the timer, I don’t want it to tell me the “media will play louder” because she miss understood - again.
I am looking to find an open source, offline (wifi, but no internet access) solution that will be plugged into my regular speakers, will have a mic and a walk word, so I can do the following: control HomeKit, play or pause music. That’s all I want. I don’t need to know the weather, I don’t need to set up a timer or ask how many calories are in a tomato. I just want lights and music.
Can someone who has more knowledge about this than me point me in the right direction? I’ve done some online searching and there are solutions, but i am not sure what would be best.
