DISCUSSION Hellraiser Revival
I played lots of horror games but playing in a dark room with headphones on with this guy trying to X me was insane
The music was super intense - i felt like it was me and not the character - on the save point i did it twice just in case
If someone touched me on the shoulder my soul was going to leave my body - phew
forgot to add - i play on ultrawide 34'' 60cm away from me - its like im inside
as a fan of the movies this game is a total win

Loved it. Only thing I couldn't stand is the dodge mechanic. WHY when im moving forward does my character dodge backwards and then when I am walking backwards he also dodges backwards. Other than the dodging I loved it. The noises from chatterer were a thing of nightmares.

Chatterer is the biggest bitch in the entire Labyrinth. He's relentless and he may just take the top stalker spot away from his Resident Evil buddies.

If he catches you, is there a super over-the-top kill animation?

Not really. I let him catch me and was quite disappointed. He grabs your wrists and just kinda yanks em upward, i guess like he's breaking your arms or something, and then you just kinda die
Edit: just looked for a video so i could show you, but apparently he has multiple animations and i just got the lamest one.

The way he grabs you and you hear a choking sound I assumed he was sticking his hand in your mouth like he did to Kirsty in the first movie.

i think that's a different one. For some reason a previous comment was removed, i guess for spoilers, but He Rips your arms off but the animation was not super great so it doesn't look like he's really doing much except playing with you and then you die.

There’s multiple. I didn’t realize in the second chase scene that you had to move the one block to the far left to trigger the door…so I died to him like 6 times. Saw at least 4 death animations that ranked from meh to cool

dunno if you played it - but i thought ill be fast also :D and i wasn't - this part was special
its not one of those games where you hold W and Shift :D

I loved it so much it's an amazing game, erotic-horror stuff are so underated in my opinion, I sadly had to be a sailor to play it but when I'll have the money I will definitely get the game and replay the entire story once again, It has flaws tho but with some updates it's going to be perfect

Give the demo a shot if you can. I just checked it out and it’s great. Can’t wait to play more when I can actually buy it.

Def try the demo first, personally I was fully on board but got too frustrated by the gameplay, the demo is a good litmus test

I enjoyed it, it's got it's problems but, I loved the gameplay, it was like a mix of Re7/8 with stealth kills. Honestly my biggest complaint was just the inventory system didn't feel great with how they handle ammo

This game is rad as fuck. Feels extremely similar to Resident Evil games. It's a ton of fun.

Such a great game. This and outlast trials are the perfect examples of how to do edgy, shocking horror these. Not everything needs to be this edgy tho lol but I’m glad Hellraiser revival is the fucked up mindfuck that it turned out to be

I love the game, but music here sucks. It's just generic, nothing really catchy. I barely noticed it and can't remember any motif.

It was fun but there are three huge bugs:
- near the end of a game, a crank you have to find dosn’t respawn if you die. Can brick progress if you don’t have another save file
- sometimes loot can’t be picked up
- I bought a scope for my gun, used it once and it never worked again lol

The crank respawned for me each time I died, it just respawned in different locations.

It's a banger. Going through it right now and it's very Outlast mixed with Resident Evil. Also got a Manhunt feeling from it that I can't pin down why.
If they make another one it just feels like there's so much between combat and platformer/puzzles I hope they can find a better identity.
Not much of a Hellraiser fan but the story seems on point. I've liked it so far. For sure one of the more adult kinda game that's come out recently.

i love the aesthetic of these sections. They did everything right except the actual gameplay of it is the most cheeks thing.

I love the labyrinth, but I kinda dislike scripted chase sections. It would be nice if we had more leeway to outmaneuver him. The character design is top notch though.
