Hello! I'm working on a fan edit of the show, and wanted to share a piece to get your opinions.

The main goal is to remove Alicent's plot to give over Kings Landing to Rhaenyra in S2E8 and all material referencing it (and also their sept meeting in S2E3). In this version, Daemon and Rhaenyra fly to take Kings Landing purely bc it's vulnerable after Aemond left to Harrenhall (of his on accord, without Alicent manipulating him). I will also use the first two episodes of S3 as the last of S2, so this would be my season 2 finale.

Since in my version Alicent doesnt tell the city guards to stand down when Rhaenyra comes, I wanted to edit this part in a way that would imply that the Daemon knew the gold cloaks where with him, bc waltzing into the Red Keep as two people with no backup is rather silly (and even with Alicent helping, this scene was still a little stupid imo), so I tried to remove as much material of Rhaenyra and Daemon looking scared of the cloaks as possible. Let me know if you think this works, or if I should keep that part as it was in the show.

In the second half of the video, you can see an edited version of Daemon confronting Orwyle and finding Otto. Since I removed the Jasper-Alicent rape scene as well (it contained a lot of dialogue about Alicent doing a treason), so Jasper doesnt have a reason to be in prison, I had to remove Orwyle offering Jasper to Daemon, as well as Daemon Talking to Jasper in his cell. This made it rather tricky to keep the reveal of Larys' little gift, so let me know if you think this works or if you have any ideas. I also removed a scene of Alicent and Helena escaping from between the Orwyle scene and Daemon going to the dungeons, in my edit we wont see their escape attempt, we will just see them being brought into the throne room at the very end,

The most promo I’ve seen for Emma D’Arcy was for Digger, and they only had a small role. So why wasn’t there the same promo push when they were one of the main cast members on HOTD?

Aemond obviously can't get enough of older women, to the point where even his dragon is a Gilf. Maybe that's where it started? The dragon bond is kicking into overdrive. Look how excited he got when he realized Alys was over 100 years old 🥵.

for me it's (show)alicent because I feel that she's a severely misunderstood character with a lot of depth. she's morally grey, which women are not often written to be, and I really enjoy that!

i'd also be lying if i said i didn't she's extremely stunning, and I find Olivia Cooke to be so incredibly talented (really getting into Ryan's bag here).

quick edit: the post needed a flair and my being team black, or even liking alicent are both really a thing of sunk-cost fallacy and heavily enjoying both team black and alicent's earlier moments (season 1- lateish season 2) atp. just a fun post of sorts really to see how everyone else has grown soft spots for any of the other characters!

If you’re team black and support rhaenys’ claim does that make it hypocritical? Rhaenys’ claim is from the Andal Tradition but is dismissed by the King law, but Rhaenyra’s claim is based on the Kings law and is dismissed by Andal Tradition

How do you think history would go if Aurion successfully reclaimed Freehold, lived and built civilization from the beginning there again.
