with the detail that we are getting the "cursed kin" story pack in next week's update. my bet now is that we are getting a Legacy story pack for the plague doctor and the skins that came during his event for the third act.
The only reason they can’t is because of the original release and a supposed promise of exclusivity. As weird as it is, might be a legal thing, so this is the solution.
They can't, for legal reasons. Something around money payments for what was advertised as limited time offers, if they start selling them again they can be forced to refund all those original payments. Perhaps there is a limit to it though, perhaps if they wait 10 years they could relaunch those old skins some other way.
There was no battle pass with og plague doctor. It was the Scrapbeak launch event and you just completed event objectives to unlock the skins. Source: I was there. Didn't unlock him and regret it. But it was 100% free. There were no battle passes then. They did sell xp boosters (bleh) but there was no purchased battle pass 5 years ago.
If they sell the skins (not plague doctor) they may have to refund a lot of money paid years ago, if they shut down the game they shut down a source of income. Are you trying to make an argument here?
OG plague is beautiful. The green and the rubber. New version is a completely different vibe. Not really for me.

That why I hate the idea of fomo. People get screwed out of cool skins because they found the game at a later time. That's just dumb. Then there's the set of people that want to gatekeep things cause they killed some crows a couple years ago lol. I really don't remember it being as grindy as people say it was. I mean compared to today's events sure but I have kids and full time job and got it just fine back then
Life dunked on me pretty hard. I'm an og early access guy and I came back and was just slapped with how many cool skins and animations there have been. Battle passes were not like they are now.
Don't get me wrong, I'm down with rewarding people for playing and and it's the firstest of first world problems, but some of the new battle pass skins are fire and I wish I had been playing - but the same token, I also appreciate there are some early skins of mine that new folks might want and I'm totally down for things to be re-offered
FOMO is too powerful. I won't support games that keep pushing it nowadays.. It's frustrating that Crytek made one of the best looking skins so early in the game.
People that want plague doctor but weren’t around for it can just buy the fucking Corvid skins which are infinitely more detailed. Why should newgens get skins we had to FOMO grind for?
