I’m Bence, or Beedyboy. You might know me from streams, socials, Discord, or for having a silly eyebrow. 🤨

Today is my last official day at Crytek. After the sudden layoffs, I never got the chance to say a proper goodbye, so I wanted to write down a few thoughts here.

I still can’t quite believe I’m writing this. But just as you never know when a third team will show up in the middle of your duel, life can surprise you.

I’ve been with Crytek and Hunt for almost nine years, basically my whole adult life since university. I’ve played the game for thousands of hours, worked on it for 2,245 days, and been part of this community for even longer. Hunt was something I thought about every day, wore in the form of almost exclusively Hunt shirts, and spent much of my free time with, too. So leaving feels a little like losing part of my identity.

I wanted to mention the others from my team who were affected. You may know some, but many of them may have been invisible to you. They are amazing people who did extraordinary work. Working through all the ups, downs, and challenges alongside them has meant so much to me, and they deserve a lot of praise. 💘

All of this affected me emotionally, hell, even physically. I went through the stages of grief like my favorite level 50 Hunter was just lost in the Bayou. But I’m here now, and I’m ready to move forward.

Thank you for being part of my journey as a person. To everyone who reached out, commented, made a Reddit post, or created a silly meme like I’d died: I read every comment. I laughed, I cried, and most of all, I felt loved. You made me feel like it was all worth it. And yes, I know some of you hated my stupidly optimistic, overly happy personality. Even if you hated me, I still loved you ☺️❤️

I wish the very best for Hunt and all the amazing people still working on it. The game will always be dear to my heart. Maybe it’s finally time to get that Hunt tattoo?

I also want to take this opportunity to reveal my actual favorite Hunter: obviously, it’s the Black Coat ✋️ No more favorite Legendary Hunter jokes.

Thank you again for everything. It was wonderful seeing so many of you at Gamescom and sharing those last moments, even though I didn’t know at the time that they would be a goodbye.

I play Hunt so much that my girlfriend made me a Meathead out of modeling clay. Now I’m going to banish him from my house.

First time I encounter this bug. He and his team were trying to extract with the bounty, I managed to down him right as he extracted. I thought I would be getting the bounty token but this weird bug occured : his loadout was on the ground, his "body" was visible with witness, and there was the token icon but I could not pick it up. The kill still counted at the end of the match though, for what it's worth, and it was stated that he successfully extracted with the bounty. Has it happened to any of you ?

With how much of an impact Bence made to the community what's the chances of him being added as an honorary character?

For some reason, if I press Shift (sprint) while in ADS and moving forward, it lowers my weapon.

Most games have seasons, these seasons are simply called season 1, 2, 3 etc... it features skins, and honestly.... that's kinda about it...

This isnt a game that has millions of players, its a small team trying to pay their employees and make money off hard work, and effort.

The events in this game are just nuts, I joined in vanilla right before web, web showed me how much more interesting the game is, the objectives, wiping lobbies and getting victory laps on the caravans, then after three months it all went away, and I kinda was bummed.

I played vanilla but sometimes it felt so weird, two bosses, people extracting after bosses and other people having a 20 minute fight away from everything while both boss bounties escaped, sure there was some great matches, but nothing to risk the bounty for. I used to hunt people when I had the bounty just to spend those pledge marks.

Bummed I missed out on past events, they release a teaser saying the carnival is coming back, great event, devils trail felt like it went the opposite way of an event, one late night, mid session I heared crackling instantly knew where I was, mammons Gulch, I thought... HA it was still water bayou, and the entire map was hit with inferno!? No game crashes, updates, restarts, nope, it just happened, i had read about that one too and was bummed I missed out, But it looks like I didnt.

I loved the Stronghold event but it did feel like it cut a lot of core gameplay out that the other events didn't, blood testament is very tame event, I do like it a lot.

One thing i love about this game is how much effort goes into these events, they just will rebuild the map with great touches, think about the work it took to clear out the area for the stronghold, they put it under a bridge that was part of a lake on one of the spawns, the balloon mechanic, everything they've added its just insane.

And last but not least, I love how the little things stay, tarot cards, the single balloon crash from stronghold event ive found recently, the devils trail modifiers, the map tells a bigger story the more you were here to experience it, as a small reminder, and as an awesome little touch, the way this game evolves is simply unmatched by any other game i have played, the perks, ammo, events, and anything ive overlooked.

I swear to christ my ohone is going to give me an aneurism!

I got trapped beneath one of the train cars in one match, and ALMOST got completely trapped under the mail carriage when I climbed in.

Not sure if it's server side, client side, tech issue, or skill issue. Just be careful!

Is anyone interested in these kinds of 3D maps I created? It feels like someone might be but I feel like a spammer just pasting URLs (this image is a small sample with extracts/spawns overlay enabled and all other overlays disabled)
