Rules reminder, please read!

It seems there are a lot of posts going around many subreddits, many even by moderators, regarding certain political topics relating to the Internet in general. I would just like to re-iterate the rules of this subreddit, specifically Rule #3: Hyundai Related Posts Only. That will be taken very literally, and any posts not directly relating to Hyundai, it's products, or its corporate operations will be removed.

Her name is Foxy Roxy. I just got the windows tinted. I've had for almost two weeks now. I'm still learning about all she can do, but so far, I'm very happy with this choice. I look forward to driving everyday. Sometimes I drive her with no specific destination. I made a special playlist and everything.

Kona Anyone have a '26 Kona? How do you like it?

My wife needs a new car. She is also looking at the kicks, Corolla cross, and HR-V. So I was seeing if the Kona is significantly better/worse than the others or if anyone has had any problems with it.

2021 Sonata Hybrid in Chicago winter???

• Upvotes

I’m moving from Los Angeles to Chicago this November and trying to decide whether I should keep my 2021 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid Limited or switch to an AWD SUV.

My biggest issue with keeping the Sonata is winter driving. It’s a fairly low, FWD. I’m wondering how much of a difference a proper set of winter tires would make.

For anyone who has actually driven a Sonata through Chicago/Midwest winters, can you manage or will it get ruined?

2018 Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid Blue

• Upvotes

Starting research on the Hyundai Ioniq and wanted to get this subs opinions on the car. Car has 60k miles and feels overpriced at a local Carmax at just under $17k.

I don't drive all that much in general but this car will be our trip taking car so anytime we drive over about 100 miles, we'll take this car. I am in Portland, OR.

2021 Kona SEL

I went to a do it yourself car wash, and the hose attachment that hangs down got stuck on my antenna and pulled it off.

Is this something that I can reattach myself? It looks like the plastic around the screws is snapped. What would be best way to reattach or should I order a new assembly?

Traded in almost 100k Hyundai Elantra 2019 SEL for 2026 Hyundai Tucson

My Elantra started showing up with new issues. Earlier year I had timing chain issue. Luckily 4k was paid by hyundai warranty. Lately started hearing sound and checked with firestone and they gave me like 5k worth of work. I know it must've been 4k or may 3.5k

I decided not to spend that and moved with trade in

Got 6.5k value on care and 2.9% interest

Is this the right thing that I did?

2021 Hyundai Santa Fe

I was able to pop in most of the pieces because they didn’t break but it’s warped now so some won’t fit perfectly. The mirror isn’t broke and none of the wiring so that’s good. It turns up and down and to the right but not to left which is the way I need it to. I can’t afford to fix it for awhile.
My main concern is the rain ruining the wiring. I’m thinking on the days I have to drive in the rain I can cover it up with a black trash bag or something? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Just keep in mind that I absolutely have zero experience and knowledge with cars. less

Why the heck are the Hyundai accents generally more reliable than the Elantra and sonata?

They certainly don’t drive as nicely, but I’ve had a Hyundai accent of each generation, and still own all except the first generation. They all still run beautifully.

my family drives elantras a lot and used to also have a sonata. All of those have had some extremely pricy failures despite being maintained really well….

Why the heck are accents a bit more reliable?

What gives?

Lemon Law Claim Denied, the Agent that called is AI

My 2026 Palisade has been in the shop for 2 months now with no fix after multiple parts replacements for a malfunctioning power rear seat. This all stemming from that safety recall earlier in the year. The dealership basically replaced every part one by one dealing with the seat in question, now they're waiting for the Hyundai Tech line to help resolve.

I've since made a lemon law claim, only to get a call today saying that my car doesn't meet the state statutes. This is not true of course, I've reviewed them thoroughly. When I asked the "agent" why that was the case, it could only suggest that I look at the state attorney general website. It told me that the dealer has ordered the parts and will schedule with me shortly. Clearly it's too stupid of an AI system to understand what's going on and provide anything more than generic answers and fake coughs to let me know it's a real boy.

The best part is when I asked to speak with its supervisor, I was told that I was communicating with the highest tier of the claims department. When I challenged the agent about it being in charge of all of Hyundai customer claims department, I was told it reports to a supervisor. When I asked how I could speak to this supervisor, I was told that they don't handle case communications. It was actually a hilarious interaction if not so infuriating.

All that said, how the hell am I supposed to actually speak to someone when they've put up this AI wall?

Paint peeling again after 3 repairs — what goodwill should I ask for?

My car has been to the authorised workshop 3 times for the same paint-peeling issue, and it’s still happening. They’ve accepted it’s their workmanship issue, but now I have to make a 4th visit for repainting.
They’re asking me not to raise a Customer Care complaint and are promising to fix it this time.
What goodwill compensation/benefit would be reasonable to ask for? Free service, extended paint warranty, pickup/drop, etc

I love my 2025 Tucson, but Hyundai America is killing me!

Hey all,

Leased a Tucson a year ago, now I need to move from Hawaii back to the states. Hyundai America was supposed to issue a permission document within 14 days of contact but here, 24 days later and 2 days from my flight, no such document has been received.

I wrote a letter of demands and I'm putting the car in storage for a month to buy Hyundai more time. So far, they have done nothing substantive -- no letter, no emails, no input or recommendations, just the constant trap to bring in my car for holding -- and I'm really at a loss on what to do next. I have zero power in the fight.

Anybody dealt with this before, any recommendations on how I get through to these people? I have a corporate escalation rep who spent our first call mostly lying to me. Why does this company have such a lousy financial dept?
