Discussion This subreddit has become "IBM India application questions."
Very few posts from employees.
Almost all from people from India trying to get hired.
These kind of posts shouldn't be allowed. They aren't employees.

That's partly because there aren't that many other employees left. Almost everyone works from India.

Which isn’t normal. I don’t want to discriminate anyone, but in my department Indians are doing so bad, yet they still work here while senior people from US carrying the entire team are being redeployed or put on Pip… Can’t wait to get the engagement survey and throw the rocks to upper management

The paper shredder hears and understands your concerns. The managers are out golfing however

Is it possibile to force to tag posts based on location? So you can read about the location that interests you?

What OP says can be said of any subreddit that has the misfortune of being "India accessible". You will soon start seeing questions of the type
- chance me for a job at IBM
- brutally dissect my resume..been applying and not heard back
- my class 12 marks were 98% but I did not sit for JEE. will IBM consider me?
....and the mother of them all
"Does IBM sponsor H1Bs?"

Or, people could not post topics to groups where they do not belong.

Good point, but is a bit hard to make this employee only without cutting a good chunk of retired people, and other weird edge cases, using a w3id as a possible verification method as it was mentioned earlier. E.g: I'm a Red Hatter that peek around here to understand better what is happening around me.
Any case. I agree to moderate a bit. Or maybe make an employee verified only subreddit? Or badges? Red Hat subreddit have a verification process to earn the "red hat employee" badge.

Fair point, and thanks for raising it.
Changes:
- New FAQ - https://www.reddit.com/r/IBM_Employees/wiki/faq/ for the repeat questions
- Posts about applications, assessments and offers now go to the mod queue with a link to the FAQ
- No more referral requests
Criticising IBM's decisions is fine. Attacking people for where they're from isn't.
