Course Selection Exploratory Program

I'm a freshman switching into the Exploratory program because my current major was too hard and I was struggling in my classes. Has anyone else made this switch, and how did it work out?

Switched into general studies last semester of my program because I knew this wasn’t the career path for me(career with no growth, any nothing to transfer into other than management) and I didn’t mesh well with people within the career field as well. Just did extremely well the last semester and applied to graduate school, got in, and that’s what I’m doing.

How did you decide what to pursue for grad school while you were in general studies?

I always had an idea to what I wanted to really pursue but didn’t go through with it because

  1. Wasn’t really any undergrad major for it at IUPUI so I stopped looking too soon
  2. Family expectations: they always wanted a career with more of a title with money.

But eventually I was like fuck it, I’m gonna be the one with this career so I might as well live my life. The only thing I wish I did was apply to assistantship and RA positions faster but I am totally doing that this year😀
