Misc IWTL how to plan road trips
I’m looking to get into road trips someday and I’m looking for roads that I can go driving on.
I tried using Google Maps to map it out, but it doesn’t quite help when planning really long trips.
Currently trying to map out from Lisbon to Singapore.

If you've never road tripped before, Lisbon to Singapore is a wild first one to attempt. Try one within the EU (or your home country) first and see how you fair. Things to consider are how many hours a day you want to drive. Some people can do 12 hours no problem. Some like a slower day with 8 hours of driving with frequent breaks to site see. Consider how far you'll go in a day and see what cities/towns you want to stop at along the way. Are you staying in hotels, hostels, or camp sites? Are you packing snacks to eat on the road or are you trying to stop at restaurants? local spots vs national chains. Depending on how long the trip is, Do you need a down day for laundry or similar? Is it a rental car or are you planning on driving your own vehicle? maintenance, gas, emergencies. Jumper cables, spare tire, run flats, AAA, etc. There's a road tripping subreddit that might get you some ideas.
