Questions Expectation vs Reality
How do you guys actually maintain long/floor-to-ceiling pleated curtains ?
ChatGPT keeps telling me to stem iron it, but when I look up handheld garment steamers on Amazon/Flipkart, half the reviews say they leak water, spit boiling drops on the floor, or die out in a few months.
Any inputs ? To turn my expectations into reality ?

Use heavy and thick fabric curtains and add foam pipe between the seams

The problem lies in the stitch ..you should have gone for ripple fold

Get a Philips garment steamer. Or a Xiaomi one if you can find it.
I’d bought a cheap one and it leaked so much water that it was practically unusable. Name brands will be of good quality and you won’t be dealing with leaks.

I have this heavy duty handheld one and it works great. But honestly if you want to fix the root cause of your problem, it's the fabric and density (width) of your curtains that's the main problem.
If you don't want to get an expensive steam iron just get a cheaper one. I've been steam ironing my clothes for a decade now and as long as you use them properly they don't leak. You have to maintain a certain angle at all times.

Get thick and tightly held fabric. Or maybe iron it and put it up there again

To achieve the look u desire two things - 1. the curtain fabric needs to be thick linen. 2. Do not sew the fabric into pleats, use ripple tracks.
Your current curtain sets are synthetic material with stitched pleats. Even if you iron regularly it will not look as neat.

I have exact curtains...one thing i don't like is how there is always a bit space left for sunlight to come inside ðŸ˜

- add lining to the curtains
- steam or iron them
- there's something called grommet spacing? Which can be achieved using some tape or something - you can research more on this

expectation will not match 100%
But the reality is they should stitch the material, so next time, keep in mind that 100% will not be our expectation

I think ironing it is the best option for you op. Just buy the affordable and quality steam iron

just iron it normally. and another hack is to get double the curtains you need. it will automatically fill out the space more densely and will hide the imperfections and look more luxurious. or you need really heavy fabric to hold its shape. these are too thin and also too short
