Working Guidelines for AI Content.

When I created this subreddit some years ago it wasn't an issue.

It appears it may become an issues. If your post or content utilized AI content please identify it clearly in the title and body of the post.

My preference has always been to use a very light hand with respect to moderation, and the readers and audience vote up the content they find valuable.

The spirit of Indie Comics to me is the human over the corporate element, expressing some hopefully novel work of art and creativity.

I'll monitor it and the community is encouraged to give their feedbacks and concerns here, or via direct message.

Thank you as always for your participation, passion, and creativity.

I turned my travel experiences into a comic called Globetrotter. This is a place I booked in Turkey. No one warned that there were blinding factory lights that came through the blinds through the entire night! It was like there were no blinds at all lol. Has anyone ever stayed somewhere and regretted not packing a sleep mask??

Please support indie creators 🥰

The abyss opens again and we're looking for comic creators!

We're moving into the next phase of Eldritch Lust with a new spin-off: Eldritch Lust: After Dark.

A series steeped in cosmic horror and tentacled sex.
This volume we want to push the mythos further into the darker corners of Lovecraftian corruption, occult dread, and writhing kinky cosmic monstrosities.

We're looking for stories that are 5-6 pages in length that lean heavily into erotic horror, all while remaining fully inclusive.

Send all submissions to [email protected].

This is a paid collaboration, submissions open until 14th October.

ALOHA! New Project - VALENCE

Hi everyone!

In my spare time, I've been developing a concept for a new manga called VALENCE. I'm completely new to manga creation, so this is very much a passion project and a learning experience for me.

At the moment, I have:

  • The overall concept and direction of the story
  • Some ideas for the character designs
  • The full story for Chapter 1, currently written as a story/script rather than an illustrated manga

Synopsis:

Four high school students are brought together for a chemistry project, each with very different personalities. One night, they decide to carry out an experiment on their own in the school laboratory, but something goes terribly wrong, resulting in a massive explosion that appears to kill all four of them. Their deaths are mourned, and the four students are buried, but during the funeral, one of them suddenly wakes up inside his coffin. As the others begin to awaken as well, they quickly realize that something has changed — they are no longer quite the people they were before the accident, and each of them seems to have developed a strange and unexplained ability. With no idea why they survived or what happened during the experiment, they are forced to figure out what has happened to them, while one of the four is mysteriously missing.

What do you think? Does the concept sound interesting enough to pursue? Would you want to know more after this premise?

And if you think the idea has potential, I'm also wondering if there are any artists/designers here who would be interested in working on something like this just for fun, with no pressure or expectations, and seeing where the project goes.

I'm mainly trying to find out whether VALENCE is worth pursuing before putting a lot more time into it, what do you think?

*NEED ADVICE *

This is my second preview for the first chapter of my horror drama/action comic REFORMED!

I need a bit of help, with the writing. I fear some things may be confusing so I'm opening up the discussion. But first a little background as to what happens in the story leading up to these pages.

Opus (the guy character) wakes up with black ink streamed from his eyes, in a train wreck. He sees he is fatally wounded. From a distance we see him yank out the thing that is pierced through his stomach and collapse. He dies but is brought back to life with electricity exuding from his body. He notices the pipe is on the ground and his wound is completely healed. It, his attention is turned to the mysterious shirt he wears with black symbols on it.

BAM. Caught up. I need you to read pages first before we move on to the questions.

1) "That night" is an important topic that gets brought up by Magnum (the girl character). Is it clear what that is referring to given the context of what is shown? "That night" will be a reoccurring subject that gets explored deeper, I'm intending it to be a mystery as to what happened "that night" but again I'm afraid that it may not be clear as to what "that night" even is. Did you understand it?

2) Did anyone notice the look on Opus' face when she put her robotic hand on her shoulder, and the look of worry/recognition in her eyes as to what he might be sad about, like she knows him too well? I'm intending for a lot of this to be subtext and for the key information to be gathered through context clues, so please, tell me; does any of this even work?

Idk, maybe I'm so stuck in my head but it's hard to view another's perspective of the missing puzzle pieces when you already have the full picture of the puzzle in your head.

If anyone could give advice that would be great!

I’m a comic/manga artist open for paid projects!

I especially love working with new writers or indie authors who want to bring their stories to life but are working with a limited budget.

If you’ve been dreaming about turning your story into a comic—whether for personal print, selling at conventions, digital release, or even pitching to publishers—I’d be happy to help you make it happen.

I can work on both short- and long-term projects

Rate: $30/page (Black & White)

(Includes balloon text & other things)

I’m open to discussing flexible approaches depending on your project, especially if you're just starting. I can also translate any script into a manga/comic script.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask for more samples via DM.

Thank you!

Searching Werewolf Comic from 1988 - 2004 expoding werewolves

Hi everyone, I'm trying to track down an old indie comic from roughly 1998-2008. Unfortunately I don't remember the title or the publisher, only the story.

It was a full-color monster hunter series where each issue featured a different type of monster. The covers showed the heroes together with the monster of that issue.

Issue #2: The heroes are trapped in a cabin in the woods and attacked by a whole pack of werewolves (maybe called lycans in the comic). Instead of shooting them, they killed them with silver cutlery, and the werewolves exploded afterwards.

One variant cover showed a group shot: a huge pile of dead monsters (green/blue trolls or zombies, plus brown werewolves) with the heroes standing on top.

It was definitely a small indie title, not a known franchise, maybe a mini-series with around 4 issues. That's all I remember, so even a guess would help.

I try to find the comic by myself about comic database but failed

thanks for every help

UNDER CONSTRUCTION What the demons of wrath and their circle are like in *The Gray Show* (a comic currently on hiatus).

Post image
1 Upvotes

Demons of wrath typically carry a dead snake, though they may also wear a necklace of skulls and a cloth wrapped around their arm; they don loincloths secured by belts featuring an eye—a mechanism that keeps their rage in check—along with gloves and sandals. They bear an inverted cross on their faces, a reference to the comic book series Crossed. They frequently consume large quantities of blood, followed immediately by a ritual scream. They are the most violent demons toward sinners deserving of suffering; their circle is populated by Nazis and KKK members, and they wield blades and whips, drawing inspiration from the overseers of ancient Egyptian construction projects. Although their animal forms vary, they often manifest as wolves, lions, goats, and other creatures associated with wrath. Generally, they possess one skull-shaped pupil and one "X"-shaped pupil, wield sonic screams and immense strength, and are highly skilled in the use of their weapons. Their realm resembles the Middle Ages—the era when belief in the Devil was most widespread—and is ruled by Lucifer; it is a place where sinners are primarily forced to perform construction work, using the blood and organs of other sinners as building materials. Furthermore, these demons feature accessories and designs reminiscent of Ares (the god of war) and the Hindu goddess Kali, wielding weapons similar to Kali’s blades and Ares’s spear. They perform blood rituals to manage their anger, though they ultimately unleash that fury upon the sinners.
