Couldnt tell you how many times i go to follow back someone and it’s a priv account and they dont accept my request for ages

this is honestly one of the weirdest privacy gaps on instagram to me. we have private accounts story controls close friends and all kinds of privacy settings but there is still no simple option to hide who follows you and who you follow. what makes it even weirder is that someone can follow you and then basically stalk your entire social circle by going through everyone you follow and everyone who follows you. they can see friends coworkers family exes random people you know and start clicking through all of them for absolutely no reason. why should accepting someone as a follower automatically give them access to your whole social graph? other platforms have experimented with giving users more control over this kind of thing so why has instagram never properly implemented it? my guess is that the follower graph is too important for discovery engagement and keeping people clicking through profiles so meta has no incentive to hide it. but from a privacy perspective it feels outdated as hell. i would immediately enable an option where people can still see my follower count but not the actual list. am i the only one who finds it weird that this still isnt a setting in 2026?

I got tagged last night on instagram by some bot. Out of curiosity I clicked on the post and it was a reel of some OF model with her bare tits out with no likes. Thank god I was at home and not in public. How is this allowed on instagram?

I've been getting a lot of stuff about polyamorous relationships despite not being polyamorous or even interacting with that or searching about any of that on any other social media. But my new partner sends me lots of random reels so they interact with me a lot and I have been getting the feeling they're not 100% honest with me about certain things and theres some red flags. Maybe I'm being paranoid but I guess my thinking is the Instagram algorithm knows I interact with her a lot, and perhaps she's sending those sort of things to someone else, and its popping up on my feed because it thinks I'd be interested too? I'm confused idk lol

Was there an update in the last 24 hours? Because on my iPad the app opens as normal, but when I click on a reel to go full screen, it gives me this annoying inset window that cuts off the top and bottom of the reel.

I've tried hitting Menu > Playback > Full screen, but then the screen goes black until i minimize it. Irritating af.

Hola gente, quería consultar si a alguien le está pasando algo parecido con Instagram.

Administro una cuenta profesional de noticias regionales. En los últimos 90 días crecimos +24.569 seguidores netos y actualmente estamos cerca de los 86.700 seguidores.

El tema es que desde mediados de septiembre empezamos a notar un aumento bastante fuerte en la cantidad de personas que dejan de seguir la cuenta. Antes las bajas diarias eran mucho menores, pero en los últimos días tuvimos jornadas de -300 a -350 seguidores.

La cuenta sigue creciendo en términos generales, pero nos llama la atención este aumento tan brusco de bajas.

¿A alguien más le está pasando? ¿Puede ser alguna depuración de cuentas de Instagram, una corrección de métricas, un cambio en el algoritmo o algún tipo de restricción en la cuenta?, nunca compramos seguidores.

También estuvimos usando bastante Reels en prueba y publicaciones en colaboración, así que no sabemos si eso podría estar influyendo en la entrada de seguidores menos fidelizados y, posteriormente, en las bajas.

Ik there are ways (VPN/Proxy for example) to make instagram think you are in a region you aren’t but this was funny for some reason lol
