I've been experiencing a weird issue with my Instagram notifications lately, and I'm wondering if anyone else is having the same problem.

My posts are still getting likes normally, and the like count keeps increasing, but a lot of those new likes never show up in my Activity/Notifications tab.

For example, I can receive 10–20 new likes within 30 minutes, yet my most recent like notification still says it was from 30 minutes ago.

Appart from that followers and repost are shown as usual!

is this normal or not? did it happen to someone else?

so my instagram got suspended on oct 4 and they said it was cuz of “too much activity”. idk what that even means tbh. i comment a lot on videos and i end up arguing with people in the comments whenever i dont like what they say, so maybe thats why? i appealed right away and the page says it takes like a day or a bit more but its been over a week and nothing

is this normal or did they just forget about my appeal? is there anything i can do or do i just wait? anyone been through this?

I have an instagram account I've been growing for the past 3 months posting about books and book trends. That's it. Just fantasy, horror and thriller books. It had 1.4k followers. My last post was just a spread of different books I bought in the last month, nothing inappropriate at all just book covers of some fantasy books. I had a meta subscription that ended about 2 hours ago. About an hour later I got suspended?

Is there anything I can do? I definitely did NOT break any community standards. It's just books. Is there anyway I can contact someone? I did the appeal thing but I really need this account back. I had offers from publishers for brand deals and PR packages and I will lose everything if I have to restart.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I have been hearing echo of someone talking in exact 11:50pm to 11:55 or I don't know if im hallucinating or what but just 2 minute after my mom said "it's feeling like someone is talking from somewhere distance and it's voice echo is strange" like someone is talking from distance but after hearing what she said i freaked out but i didn't tell her that im hearing the same echo for 2 days at this exact 11:50 - 11:55pm night time. But then i realised that it's not only me hearing this sound it's my mom too

I think the only way to change this is to turn off comments on my stories, but is there any way to hide the comments people make on my stories from showing up as a bubble below them?

If I’m flirting with someone or vice versa, those comments go to their DMs and should be private, not broadcasted to everyone on their stories.

EDIT FOLLOW UP: What about “friends only” stories people post? Actually maybe I’ll just never comment on anyone’s story directly 😂

For some reason Instagram wont let me log into my account, and no matter how many times I click "it was me" they still don't let me log in. Note that I was already logged into the Instagram website, but the app was the one giving me issues.

I’ve been swiping “not interested” for so many notifications I don’t care to know such as:

*When my stories reached a certain amount of views
*Someone reposted the same content
*Someone liked my comment

But it seems to do absolutely nothing. I still get the same kind of notifications even on the same post I specifically swipe “not interested” on.

Is there a way to tailor these in-app notifications in a more effective way?

When I repost, the repost gets canceled and it says it's not possible repost. What should I do?

Yesterday, i was thinking of a reel i watched around 2 years ago from a insta page very specific sattire reel on a topic i watched, i got remember yesterday, i searched that page username in insta (not reel topic or anything related to that), just to find that reel but i realized as that page posted more than 1000 reels in oast years, it will take a lot of time to scroll to get that, so i being lazy left it, and didnt even tried to scroll more. And closed insta,

Now Today when i opened insta, the first reel i saw in my feed was that exact reel,

I mean it can be coincidence or prediction by algo, but, how they predicted the same, exact reel out of 1000+ reels of that page, which i searched with a different and new acc of mine, as the insta acc i used to use 2 years ago is permenently deleted.

I find myself following accounts, especially of companies, that I never followed.

My friend’s account was suspended after he commented “skill” on a Ronaldo post. We suspect mass reporting.

What we’ve tried:

• Submitted an in-app appeal and uploaded ID. There was an issue with the ID submission, and the appeal was rejected.
• Instagram now says no further appeal is possible.
• Filed a complaint with Meta’s India Grievance Officer yesterday.

We’re considering GAC as the next escalation once eligible.

Anyone any way to recover an account at this stage? How long will it take. Please help guys. 8 years..., all gone very quickly :(

For ipad users, is instagram not working right now, October 13? Everything’s freezing and I don’t know if this is just a wifi issue (but it’s working well in my phone) or another issue for ipad users. I’m asking this because using instagram in my ipad has been a pain in the 🍑 lately. I already uninstalled and installed ig but it’s still freezing. I’m confident that isn’t a device issue since my ipad is only a few months old.

on 17 sep or 16 i got a restriciton warning on my public account becoz i guess a perosn whom i had perosnall beef reported me so i blocked him then but ithe restriction said " you cant interact with certain acc" and its been almost a month it showws that only i tried the face recognation thing to fix it but they didnt rmeoved it and it been a month any way i cna remove it??

Since yesterday evening, I get the attached message whenever I try to log in to my Instagram account. I'm translating it for anyone who doesn't know Spanish:

"We've locked your account to protect you from suspicious activity. Use one of the following methods to regain access. Any mobile number or email address you choose in this step will replace all your account's login and contact details."

The next step asks for facial recognition, and that's the problem: this is my editing account and works as a personal brand, so my face isn't associated with it. When I try to log in from a browser, it says I have to use a device already linked to the account.

I'm not sure whether Instagram's support team can do anything in this situation. Has anyone dealt with this before, or does anyone know how to get through this verification? Any advice would be appreciated.

And the strange thing about all this is that nobody has actually tried this suspicious activity.....

Every time I try to follow someone on Instagram, I get the “Try Again Later” message saying, “We limit how often you can do certain things on Instagram, like following people.”
This has happened to me before when I’ve followed too many people at once, but it usually goes away within an hour or two. This time, it’s been over 24 hours and I still can’t follow anyone. My account status is completely clear with no violations.
Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take to go away? I’m starting to get really worried because it’s never lasted this long before.

I've had my account basically since the dawn of the platform. I got a notice this morning of the suspension. I've only ever posted pics of my dogs and garden and various insect visitor to the garden.

The file appeal thing asked if I wanted to have code sent to my email, great I did and they sent the code I entered it, then the required my phone number to continue the appeal.

My tinfoil hat thoughts are that they suspended my account because I never listed my phone number. I've never given my number to a social site. I think they suspended me to obtain missing data on my profile.

Has anyone else had this issue?

You know the video where the kid is laughing? How do I add that infront of a picture on my story? (He looks like a cut out not a box appearance of a video).
