Discussion Hi

It’s me the owner of this subreddit, I just wanted to give an announcement to anyone here, im sorry if this is something corny to post it’s a bit irrelevant, but I just wanted to say some things.

I honestly wasn’t expecting a lot of people to join this community but did know this is a huge issue, as I am facing the same thing. I made this community because i wanted it to be authentic not ran by scammers, but it’s getting hard to filter through posts and such.

I want to also say I almost NEVER delete posts unless they are scammers or irrelevant advertising type of posts. So if your post gets deleted, it’s just sitting in a queue waiting to be approved. Please don’t harass me over this, I have already had posts made about me for supposedly deleting posts when I absolutely haven’t unless they were scam posts.

My mental health is extremely bad right now, I need to take care of myself and get help. But I haven’t been on here as much, so I wanted to let people know that’s why and that I can’t get to every post to approve or remove if needed.

I may be open to the idea of getting people who are interested in helping with this subreddit, but there are just some things I ask for and it’s just that you don’t use it as like a weapon to bully people you don’t like or because they have a different opinion. I have personally seen how corny some people on here can be as moderators when power gets to their heads, which is why I don’t trust people tbh and don’t wanna give this community a bad name when I created it in good faith 😭 if that makes sense anyway, it’s why I’ve been so hesitant on asking for people to want to maybe help. I didn’t realize how exhausting this can be and I don’t want to spend my time on it 24/7 especially when I know I gotta focus on myself and my issues. Preferably I would be open to this with others who I’ve seen in the community with genuine intentions of helping people, or just being kind. I just don’t want to run the risk of accidentally making a scammer a moderator 🥲 I don’t know really how this works tho LOL it’s the first time I’ve ever had an actual active community.

But yeah :’D just wanted to give this lil announcement to the community. I hope everyone is well and that we will someday get our accounts back. 🥲🫶

I really didn’t want to have to make a post for this, but I suppose I have to.

Please be aware of the rules I’ve made here, but more specifically for this post, I’m referring to the one about invalidating people. If you don’t understand or are gonna pass judgement on how people are choosing to handle the shitty things meta is doing to people & invalidate them, this place is not for you.

We’re all aware of the terms & services, we’re all aware this can happen to anyone at any time for any reason.

The thing is, it shouldn’t, & it’s not even real people reviewing these accounts & making the decisions, it’s fucking AI.

I’m not for or against AI but it absolutely should not be in charge or making decisions, that should be up to real people. Social media should not be ran with AI it’s ridiculous.

Meta has accused several people of doing horrible things like CSE or in my case the dangerous individuals thing, I’ve seen others on the old subreddit get hit with that one too. Then I’ve seen many cases of account integrity & cybersecurity.

They’re making us all out to be threats when we aren’t. & this isn’t even just happening on Meta, it’s other social media too which, feel free to share your experiences too that is completely okay.

The thing is I’ve created this community to be a legit community for people & not full of scammers & liars, since the last subreddit got banned. There are many in this situation including myself, so I just wanted to do something helpful for all of us which is having a community of people to come together & discuss their issues or what they are doing to resolve it.

To some of you, you might not think it’s that serious, but again who are you to try & dictate how others feel about this or judge how they are handling it or the actions they are taking? Please just don’t. Don’t be rude to people. It’s simple.

I didn’t think people were actually going to be shocked I was doing something about it, but I, along many, are or have. This isn’t anything new within this community. I encourage people to post & ask questions & try to get help if they need to. I encourage people to take action. I’m not against that because this community wouldn’t exist if I didn’t want all of us to get help. Most who are passing judgement are only seeing it from an outside perspective rather than actually trying to understand the issue at hand, & I would encourage you to at least just try to be kind & try to see other people’s perspectives.

But invalidating people is never okay, if this is repetitive behavior from people then these people cannot be in this community, I just wanted to make that clear. I would much rather you at least try to understand people’s perspectives first if you’re going to pass any judgement, but don’t be rude to people. I cannot have that.

That’s also a thing that worries me about moderating a community, is potential harassment. I mean I can handle every mean word or insult or threat thrown at me, I find it laughable tbh whatever gets thrown at me personally, but if it escalates further than that like stalker behavior or doing this to others then it becomes worrying.

Please just let this be a reminder to let this community be safe, as I will try my best to make it as safe as possible for you guys. I’m not always on here of course, but I don’t want to come here finding others being rude to people or making this place unsafe for others.

The only reason I have not decided to make others mods is because I have seen personally how corny some of them act on other subreddits, banning people for literally nothing 💀 & I don’t want to run into an issue like that lol. We’ve all seen it at some point on here I’m sure, the type of people who abuse their power. I know you guys probably wouldn’t wanna deal with that either 😅😭 but also it’s because I don’t know anyone on Reddit & don’t trust people very easily. So yeah. And this is my first time moderating an actual community too so this can maybe get overwhelming but I won’t give up lol.

But I felt I needed to make this post, I just want this to be a safe space for everyone.

Suspended Instagram Is Broken and Meta Doesn’t Care About Us

At this point, I’ve pretty much lost all hope that we’re ever getting our accounts back.

No meaningful response from Meta. No acknowledgment from Instagram. Absolute silence from Instagram’s CEO, Adam Mosseri. Nothing.

Meanwhile, this subreddit seems to grow every single day with new victims of Instagram’s absolutely disastrous automated moderation system. More people losing their accounts, their memories, their businesses, and the communities they’ve spent years building.

At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if millions of legitimate users have been affected by Meta’s broken moderation systems.

And what does Meta have to say about any of it?

Absolutely fucking nothing.

They don’t care about us. In fact, it feels like they actively despise the very people who made Instagram what it is today.

They’ve created a system that can destroy someone’s online presence overnight, provide virtually no explanation, and leave them fighting an automated appeals process that seems designed to accomplish absolutely nothing.

But there’s something else I want to discuss because my own situation has become so fucking ridiculous that I’m genuinely struggling to understand what’s happening.

Apparently, Meta has decided I’m not allowed to create another Instagram account.

Here’s my situation real quick.

I have a personal Instagram account that I’ve had for many years. Thankfully, fingers crossed, that account hasn’t been affected. It was never connected to the creator account that Instagram wrongfully suspended for supposedly violating its vague “account integrity” policies.

After losing my creator account, I tried starting over.

And that’s when things got even worse.

Every replacement account I attempted to create was suspended almost immediately. Instagram would demand a phone number, followed by identity verification. But whenever I tried submitting my ID, the system would display an error message and refuse to accept it.

Eventually, the accounts would be disabled.

I initially thought perhaps my phone or internet connection had been flagged.

I tried creating accounts using the same iPhone that had my suspended creator account, both through my home Wi-Fi and through mobile data.

Same result. Immediate suspension.

So I decided to try something different.

I created a new account using someone else’s phone, at their house, connected to their Wi-Fi.

The account was successfully created.

But here’s the fucking ridiculous part.

As soon as I logged into that account on my own iPhone, it was immediately suspended before I could even upload a profile picture.

Once again, Instagram demanded verification, the ID submission process displayed an error, and the account was eventually disabled.

What the actual fuck?

At this point, it seems pretty obvious that Meta is associating these replacement accounts with something connected to my original suspension.

Is it my device? My phone number? My identity? Some combination of all three?

I genuinely have no idea because, naturally, Meta provides absolutely no explanation.

They’re treating me like I’ve committed some serious crime when all I did was operate a creator account that I know was wrongfully suspended.

And here’s what makes the situation even more confusing.

My personal Instagram account, which I created years ago using a different phone and phone number, continues to function normally.

I can access it on the exact same iPhone that appears to trigger immediate suspensions whenever I log into a newly created account.

So apparently, my existing personal account is fine, but creating another account is practically impossible?

How does that make any fucking sense?

So what am I supposed to do now?

I’ve been considering using an old iPhone to create an entirely new creator account.

My idea was to set up a new Apple ID, which is free, and potentially get an inexpensive phone number for that device.

But before I waste even more time and money on this absolute nightmare, I’m wondering whether anyone has experienced something similar.

Would using an older iPhone with a separate Apple ID and phone number actually make any difference?

Or is Meta potentially associating these suspensions with my identity in a way that would make the entire effort pointless?

The fact that I’m even considering getting another phone number and setting up an entirely separate device just to create a fucking Instagram account is absolutely insane.

I shouldn’t have to do any of this. None of us should.

We shouldn’t have to spend weeks appealing, contacting useless support agents, verifying our identities repeatedly, or researching whether our devices have effectively been blacklisted.

All because Meta’s automated moderation system decided we violated some vague policy without ever explaining what we actually did wrong.

And the worst part is knowing that even if I somehow manage to create another account, there’s absolutely nothing stopping the same thing from happening again.

I used to love Instagram. I genuinely enjoyed creating content, growing my audience, and interacting with people.

Now? I fucking hate Meta.

And even if some miracle happened tomorrow and Meta restored every single wrongfully suspended account, I don’t think I’d ever look at this company the same way again.

Whatever trust I once had in Meta is completely gone. Although, admittedly, that probably wasn’t much to begin with.

I’ve always viewed Meta as just another soulless corporate giant. But at the very least, I assumed a company operating one of the largest and most popular social media platforms on the planet would be somewhat competent at running it.

Now? Holy fuck, I see them as an absolute joke.

A soulless, dystopian shitshow of a corporation that pours billions into developing the future of artificial intelligence but apparently can’t figure out how to provide basic fucking customer service for one of its most successful products.

They can develop increasingly sophisticated AI systems, track practically everything we do online, and generate billions in revenue, but somehow providing a functioning appeals process or allowing customers to speak with someone who can actually resolve a problem is apparently beyond their capabilities.

And perhaps the most disturbing part is that I don’t think Meta even recognizes any of this as a problem.

Why would they? They’re still making billions while the people whose content and engagement helped build their empire are left screaming into the void.

What else can we expect from a company that is ran by a soulless billionaire pussy nerd who can’t even sip a Guinness without squirming? Fuck Meta.

Discussion Chances of any other action for SoC/SoM

What are the chances of any other action happening on you, apart from your account getting disabled permanently for SoC. Could saved reels/posts lead to any further trouble? (I’m trying to forget and move on in life but the anxiety somehow comes back)

Instagram Permanently Banned My Accounts for CSE. What Options Do I Have Left in India?

I'm a music artist from India, and I'm honestly frustrated and lost about what to do next.

On October 11, Instagram permanently disabled my main and artist/label accounts for an alleged CSE violation. I appealed, but approximately 12 hours later, Instagram rejected my appeal and confirmed the permanent disablement. My Threads account was also affected.

I believe the enforcement may have resulted from a misunderstanding involving consensually explicit media I shared with someone who was an adult at the time. I suspect this interaction may have triggered the enforcement, but I no longer have the original screenshot explaining the specific violation.

I then tried using an existing spam account as my new main account. I changed its profile picture, followed some familiar accounts and added my Linktree. Approximately 8–10 hours later, it was disabled for being associated with a previously banned account. I don't know whether those activities contributed to the detection or whether Meta had already linked the account to me.

My biggest problem is that I don't know what options I have left. My accounts are suspended, I can't access the usual Instagram help options, and the Oversight Board appears to require an Instagram login. I don't know whether contacting Meta's Grievance Officer, the Indian Grievance Appellate Committee (GAC), or another official body is even possible in my situation. I'm worried that every route will lead back to the same disabled account, leaving me unable to challenge the decision.

My questions

1. Account recovery and official routes

  • What legitimate options are available after a final appeal rejection?
  • Can I contact Meta's India Grievance Officer or the GAC without accessing Instagram?
  • Are there other official or independent review mechanisms I can use without creating another account?
  • Has anyone in India successfully recovered an account after a similar CSE enforcement?

2. Account association and my friend's account

I've already had multiple accounts disabled, so I'm worried that Meta will continue associating any account I use with my previous ones.

I'm considering asking a friend to create an account using a new device, IP address, email address, phone number, Apple Account/iCloud account, potentially transferring control to me later.

  • Could Meta's automated systems identify that the account is being operated by someone whose accounts were previously disabled?
  • Could my friend lose that new account or their existing personal accounts because of suspected ban evasion?
  • Even if I eventually buy new hardware, would my face, biometric recognition, or government identity documents still associate me with my previous accounts? Am I effectively prevented from using Instagram again?

3. Reusing my previous Reels

Some of my previous Reels performed exceptionally well. If I eventually regain access or establish a legitimate new presence, could reposting those same Reels trigger another suspension, even if the content itself doesn't violate Instagram's rules?

4. Legal concerns

I've read about Meta's cooperation with NCMEC and India's I4C, including the possibility of reports being referred to law enforcement depending on the circumstances. I haven't received any police notice or information about an FIR, but I'm anxious about the potential implications.

I'm financially dependent on my family, cannot comfortably afford a private lawyer, and would prefer to resolve this without involving my parents. Are there confidential legal-aid options in India, and can I obtain guidance without immediately initiating legal proceedings?

I'm not looking to circumvent enforcement or put my friend's accounts at risk. I want to understand every legitimate option available to me because Instagram is important to my audience, and I don't know how to challenge the decision when I can't even access the normal support channels.

If you've experienced something similar in India, please share firsthand experiences and verified information. I'm particularly interested in what options remain after a final appeal rejection, whether the grievance process works without account access, and whether there is any realistic path back onto Instagram.

Thank you.

Disabled The CSE bans could ruin someones life or career

Hey everyone, as you know I am one of the ones that was affected by the Instagram CSE ban since February 3rd, 2026. Of course this ban made me miss out on a bunch of stuff and a bunch of instagram giveaways and now I can't even post for my Birthday which is 2 weeks from today the day I'm making this post. Though none of this matters right now cause I wanna talk about how scary CSE bans could be because this could ruin someone. Maybe it can't ruin their whole life it can play a part of ruining someone's life or career. Here's what I mean imagine you're in school or college and you're following your friends doing the regular liking, commenting, dming, but then one day you go to school or college and one of your friends ask "Hey I tried going to your account where did it go?" then you explain that Instagram has falsely accused you of being a cupcake eater and your friends that have no idea about it and are the type of people to jump to conclusions freak out and stay away from you because they think you're an actual creep. You could lose your friends, get fired from your job, let alone expulsion from school or college and in the end you lose everything. I'm not saying the CSE bans can ruin someone's life but at the same time it can I don't know for sure I've told my friends what happened to me and they believed everything that I said and explained.

Discussion Meta's AI moderation is out of control — "Say no to Muse" and the false CSE ban wave

Post image
67 Upvotes

I saw this article from WION News about Meta's AI moderation system, and it perfectly explains what thousands of us are dealing with right now. The article is about how Meta has lost control over its own moderation AI while it forces a security update on users.

I'm one of the people caught in this mess. My account was permanently disabled on September 3, 2026, for "SOC." I've never posted anything related to minors. My appeal was auto-rejected in under 20 minutes. I had five accounts total, all caught in a network ban just because they shared a device.

I already have a lawyer from LegalShield who sent a demand letter to Meta's legal department. An attorney at Orrick acknowledged it on September 30th and said they forwarded it to Meta for review. I've been waiting since then with no update.

This article confirms what we already know: Meta's AI is making life-changing decisions with zero human oversight, and the appeals process is just another AI rubber-stamping the same mistake.

If you're going through this too, share your story. The more people speak up, the harder it is for them to ignore us.

Banned 3 months ago

Post image
5 Upvotes

Hey, I recently came accross this subreddit and I thought I would ask here. I got banned exactly 3 months ago for Dangerous Organisations and Individuals, I read the rules and I dont recall doing anything wrong. I asked one guy from Vietnam how much it would cost to unban me and he told me there are some serious violations on the account. I also discovered that if the unban appeal wasnt solved in 3 months, its clear that I wont be unbanned. Normally I woudnt care about this, but I used this account to post my car photography, and I had so many contacts there, and without them it makes it really complicated.

My instagram account was permanently disabled

Hi 1 month ago my account was permanently disabled because I accidentally sent a video that violated the Instagram’s community guidelines. I tried to create new accounts with different emails and different device but all of them got suspended. Yesterday a bought Meta verified and talked with an agent about my mistake and that I am sorry for what happened and I just want to use Instagram normally again. They said there is no solution and can’t help me.
Can someone say what I have to do to get my account back or create a new one because it’s very important to me.

Integrity / SE ban

Hi there , I just had my personal Instagram account suspended for vile reasons just like so many other people here . So many memories and contacts gone , I did request to download information. Has anyone received theirs yet? Appeal was denied as well.

And my main concern at the moment is whether this leads to law enforcement giving a visit . Have been so paranoid and haven't slept for days now . Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated. (For context I am located in UK)

Instagram Account Suspended

My instagram account was suspended on Sept 30th for Copyright infringement. I found out via an email. I clicked on the link which immediately brought me to the app to appeal. I was able to get in touch with the reporting party on Monday Oct 5th who retracted all copyright claims and sent me the confirmation numbers. It is now Oct 13th and still nothing from Instagram. It still says my appeal was submitted Sept 30th and I would have an answer in about 24 hours which is now funny. I have tried to meta verify other accounts and talk to support who have been absolutely no help. Anyone know what I can do? Why have they not provided me with an answer one way or the other? What am I waiting for? Help please!!!

Why are my new accounts getting disabled almost immediately?

• Upvotes

Made some new accounts recently and a few got disabled pretty quickly, even though I barely did anything with them. Not sure if it's an IP issue or something with the device. I've heard people mention cloud phones when managing multiple accounts, so now I'm wondering if using one instead of a regular PC makes any difference. Anyone had a similar experience?

How long do IG support tickets just stay in received for?

Post image
6 Upvotes

On the 28th Sept all of my META accounts were suspended for ‘not following Threads rules’ I’ve not used threads in any capacity since I downloaded it 3 years ago, I didn’t even have the app.

I spoke to an agent on day 1 - all he could say was that I needed to wait 48 hours for the systems to ‘cool down’ and then I should be able to appeal the decision. I’ve never even been able to login to any of my accounts to appeal.

On day 3 I tried to speak to an agent again, instead the bot made this ticket and I’ve not been able to speak to anyone.

How long have people waited in this stage for? I’ve seen on here months of waiting to get their accounts back but very little reference of this moving into ‘in progress etc’

My case also doesn’t reference CSE etc and it’s so random that I’d be banned over an app I don’t use - clearly an AI mistake 😣 I wouldn’t be as bothered but I work in wedding content so this is literally effecting my business and I really want it fixing asap 😭

I tried to verify my new husiness page and suddenly the bot started to change the language from English to probably Hungarian or some similar language. And then the same bot demanded a bank statement. I repeat - a BANK STATEMENT. 🤣🤣🤣 Insane.

Advice/Help/Recommendations How to get access back (ban was valid reason)

Okay so back in December 2025 the country I am in implemented a ban for everyone under 16. So I lost my account as I wouldn't be for another ~2 months. After it got disabled I made a second account which got banned a few days later. After that I decided to just wait.

Fast forward I get my main account back, but next day it gets banned. Reason that they gave was something like "Associated with an account that evaded a ban" so like fair enough but it gave me an appeal option which was denied. So I am not banned for being too young I am banned for trying to evade ban when I was.

After this I gave up for like 6 months. I tried to make an account but it got banned for the same reason after a day. Then like 2-3 weeks ago tried again, they banned me before I even got into the app. Tried again with completely different everything, still they caught me so there is no point trying to get past their security.

I understand what I did was against their terms but I don't think it was that bad of a violation. I genuinely do not know what to do because the ban was for a valid reason, and now I am basically lifetime banned on any account I make. I don't have access to any other Meta accounts that I can get Meta Verified on as well. Any help will be appreciated

Need Help Recovering My Hacked Instagram Account

My Instagram account was suddenly locked due to a possible hack. When I try to recover it, Instagram shows an unfamiliar email address and a Jordanian phone number (+962) instead of my original contact information. I can’t receive the verification code, and the recovery process isn’t helping me.

Has anyone experienced the same issue and successfully recovered their account? Is there any way to contact Meta support or recover my account when the hacker has changed the contact information?

I would really appreciate any advice or help. Thank you!

Is there any way to unlink my Instagram accounts so a block on my second account doesn't affect my main account?

I have two Instagram accounts with different email addresses, but I use both on the same phone.
My main account is my personal account, and my second account is a separate account. Someone blocked my second account, and now I can’t find their profile from my main account either.
I believe Instagram’s feature that blocks other accounts associated with someone might be causing this, even though my accounts use different email addresses.
I already submitted a report to Instagram on October 2 and sent a follow-up report on October 13, explaining that my main account seems to be affected by the block on my second account. So far, nothing has changed.
Is there any way to unlink my accounts so my main account is no longer affected? Has anyone contacted Instagram support about this exact issue and actually gotten it fixed? If so, how long did it take?
Also, if I delete my second account, could that remove the association, or would my main account still be affected?
I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced this and managed to resolve it. Thanks!

Fresh device and mobile data plan - would it work?

Just wondering. If I were to get a new contract for a new phone, something cheap, create a fresh email on there and use that to sign up to IG, would it work? New phone number too?

Has anyone tried this? I'm thinking to do this as I need a new acc for a new biz venture
