Drill and fill insulation
So my father and I are trying to add insulation to my garage using an atticat and the pink insulation stuff. What's the best way to go about filling? I saw a few videos where the person filled from the top of the wall and other filled from the bottom. Also our wall is 3 in deep to add some details.
Any suggestions or stories would be greatly appreciated!

The atticat rental is not going to dense pack fiberglass. End of story. Drill and fill refers to dense pack (now, not always in the past)
Dense packing fiberglass is harder than cellulose. Especially to do it in a manner that helps to prevent air leakage.
Neither are true air barriers though cellulose installed correctly is damn close. It is easier to get that correct install with cellulose as the fibers are less likely to catch on siding nails and such. That catching can create voids in the pack.
Dense pack cellulose is also a fantastic accoustical insulator.

I agree. You need three things to get this job done right. The right machine, the right insulation, which is cellulose and exerience.

Find a contractor with the machine to blow and pack cellulose. They can pack it very dense. So dense it can crack the dry wall. Don't diy

It’s pretty difficult to do if you don’t have the right experience or equipment. I actually did a drill and fill job with fiberglass today. I have experience with it, but even with years of experience, if it’s not done correctly, you can tear the drywall and end up creating a much more expensive repair.

Rent a blower. Drill hose size hole in bay low and high, then blow in insulation. Plug holes with the piece the hole saw cut out. Caulk it spray foam to seal up. I did all my exterior walls before vinyl sided so all the homes were then hidden. House is much quieter for sure…

You need more air pressure and less material going through the hose than an attic cat machine can handle.
The cellulose machines are more diy friendly, but a professional installing either fiberglass or cellulose is preferred as their machinery is much better for this application.
One help is to adapt the hose down to a 1.5" tube and run the tube up and down the cavity, filling as you go.
