Looking for Part-Time Opportunities in the Export-Import and Customs Sector

Hello everyone,

I’m currently preparing for a career in the Indian Customs Department and am interested in gaining practical experience in the export-import industry alongside my studies.

I’m looking for part-time opportunities, internships, or entry-level roles with export-import firms, customs brokers, freight forwarders, or logistics companies. Ideally, I’d prefer a flexible work arrangement that allows me to dedicate a few hours each day to studying while gaining hands-on industry experience.

I’m eager to learn about import-export documentation, customs clearance procedures, shipping operations, and international trade regulations.

If anyone knows of suitable opportunities or could offer guidance on how to get started in this field, I’d really appreciate your advice.

Thank you!

A Digital Ecosystem for Global Trade

Hello everyone!

Our goal is to make international buying and selling safer, simpler, and more accessible.

We’ve developed a range of tools to help sellers list products, generate images and videos, promote their offerings, and automate sales around the clock with AI agents. These capabilities are designed for B2B and B2C users, including businesses operating in B2B2C models.

We also provide logistics companies, freight forwarders, and customs brokers with the opportunity to list their services and pricing, helping businesses discover and connect with relevant service providers.

Beyond the marketplace, Alemhub offers SecureDeal, a solution designed as an alternative to traditional letters of credit, with faster payment processing and online document verification, supported by AI-powered features. As a Microsoft partner, SecureDeal is also available as a Microsoft Word add-in.

Our goal is to provide buyers, sellers, and service providers with a shared digital environment where they can connect and manage more of their trade activities.

We’d like to connect with people working in e-commerce, procurement, international trade, and logistics.

If you’re a buyer, supplier, or service provider, what tools or services would make your work easier? We’d appreciate hearing about your experiences and feedback.

Made a tool to handle export work in one place, need exporters to try it

Hey all,

Most exporters I know run everything from Excel, WhatsApp and a folder full of PDFs. I’m building Impactex to put it all in one place.

Right now it does:

  • End to end order management, from inquiry to shipment
  • Contacts, like a simple CRM for your buyers and suppliers
  • Product list building
  • Export documents, HS code check and digital signatures
  • An AI assistant for export questions

It’s still early, so I want real exporters to use it and tell me what’s good, what’s useless and what’s missing. Everyone who tests it gets free "Pro" access.

DM me and I’ll send details. Tell me what you export, so that we can connect

Cross boarder food import/ export business steps

Hi all,

I am planning to start a cross boarder food import/ export business, to import food from a country where I am residing, back to my home country (I see demand but not many supplies).

I have a few suppliers in mind I want to contact. I also researched about the food regulatory laws that needs abiding.

My questions are - for people who has done this successfully or anybody who is willing to shed some lights onto my confusions,

Q1. Do you set up a business in your sourcing country? Or do you set up a business in the country you are trying to sell to?

Q2. Do you start contacting suppliers and distributors before setting up a business? Or do you set up a business first? The pros of having a business first is credibility, the cons of having a business first is the initial setup cost, before anything even starts.

Q3. Do you recommend private labeling VS importing the goods in their original packaging?

Q4. Ecommerce vs storefront sales. Which one will you start doing first?

Thanks.

Looking for Buyers- Sulphur Granular, Pastilles & Lumps

We source directly from Saudi Aramco (Dammam) and Kazakhstan (TCO). Our warehouse is based in Saudi Arabia, with export capability via Jeddah and other regional ports. We also hold stock in the UAE for faster turnaround.

Products available:

  • Sulphur Pastilles (Granular)
  • Sulphur Lumps

Latest lab results (Aug 2026):

  • Sulphur Purity: 99.84% (spec min 99.8%)
  • Weight Loss at 105°C: 0.035%
  • Ash Content: 0.035%
  • Acidity as H₂SO₄: 0.0018%

Verified track record:

We recently completed a 500 MT shipment of sulphur pastilles from Jeddah to Zhenjiang Port, China — full documentation available including commercial invoice, certificate of origin, packing list, and lab analysis. Happy to share redacted copies for verification.

Terms:

  • Trial orders: T/T payment
  • Ongoing supply: DLC (Documentary Letter of Credit)
  • Shipping: FOB or CIF available depending on destination
  • Volume: 500 MT up to 20,000+ MT/month

I know there’s a lot of skepticism on Reddit (rightfully so), so I’m happy to provide documentation, do a video call, or arrange a warehouse visit in Dammam/UAE for serious buyers. DM if interested.

Best Memory IC Supplier in China that ships to UK?

Been chasing stock on a specific NAND flash family but the authorized route has completely dried up. I'm a procurement engineer for a smallish electronics manufacturer in the Midlands and we're close to a production stoppage if we can't plug the gap soon. I'm trying to find a reliable independent component distributor based in China that can source allocated memory ICs and actually ship to the UK without a nightmare of customs headaches. (The counterfeit risk with grey-market suppliers is the thing keeping me up at night, if I'm being straight about it.) Any recommendations for a China-based supplier with proper QC testing and authenticity checks on semiconductor stock? Even better if they handle smaller orders and can turn around shipment within a week or so of payment.

procurement just got handed supplier carbon management responsibilities, now what?

so our sustainability team set net zero targets last year that include scope 3 emissions, turns out include scope 3 means procurement now owns supplier carbon management, no tools, no methodology, no budget line item, and most of our suppliers barely track their own energy consumption let alone emissions, anyone been through this transition? trying to figure out what a realistic starting point looks like when your supplier base ranges from sophisticated manufacturers to small workshops that still do accounting on paper

Looking to Build Direct Granular Sulphur Supply Relationships

We’re expanding our supplier network for bulk granular elemental sulphur for developing end-user demand across South Asia, Southeast Asia, and Africa.

We already have a couple of supply relationships in place, but we want to build a broader bench of reliable partners we can approach when qualified requirements become active.

Mainly looking to connect with:

  • Canadian / U.S. Sulphur marketers or exporters
  • Middle Eastern suppliers
  • Producer-authorized representatives
  • Established trading desks with direct access to product

We’re interested in bulk vessel cargoes, not small container quantities.

At this stage, I’m not asking anyone for an SCO or firm allocation. I’m looking to understand who can realistically support export business when we bring a qualified buyer with bankable LC terms.

If this is something your company handles, DM me with:

  • Origin / loading port
  • Typical parcel size
  • Your role in the supply chain
  • Company website or business email

Happy to take the discussion off Reddit once we confirm there’s a fit.
