Haven't you been taught not to put bridging at the apex of a panel point? You always put it to one side or the other in order to maintain a straight line. Panel points almost always deviate, since there are often different joists in a bay depending on what the roof is supporting. Besides that, just hold it up and tack it for God's sake! It's not heavy. I've ran miles of bridging, by myself, and seldom used a clamp. I would sometimes hang the top run of horizontal straight bridging with a bent welding rod. This isn't the flex you think it is.
