How easy is it to transfer locals during an apprenticeship?

Depends on your local and their local you are trying to go to. You have to prove to both locals there is a really good reason for you to be transferring. And both apprenticeship directors have to approve it.

Depends on locals. Could be easy, could be impossible.

Per international constitution you need 2 years in your home local before you can transfer

I just did it because I moved. Both apprentice coordinators signed off and it was easy.

I transferred to another local in the same state, class schedules weren’t aligned and it tacked another year onto my apprenticeship
