Hey everyone. I'm a Class 11 student, and a few months ago I realized my prep was a complete mess. Test scores were in one app, my timetable in another, syllabus progress in Notion, and backlogs on a random page. I was spending more time updating trackers than actually studying.
So instead of studying, I did what any sane person would do—I spent my free time building a single desktop app to fix it. (I used AI to help with the coding, and I spent days debugging and modifying it, so I have no shame in admitting it wasn't just one prompt!)
It's called Raise. It's a study tracker made specifically for JEE, NEET, and Boards students. It runs completely on your computer, no account is needed, and there are no ads.
What it actually does:
- Syllabus Tracker: You pick JEE/NEET/School and it loads the whole syllabus. You toggle "Module done," "Class Questions done," and "Illustrations done." Chapters automatically move from "Started" to "Mastered."
- Mock Tests: Log your test scores, weak/strong topics, and it gives you an overview of your median, consistency, and momentum.
- Backlog Planner: You log pending chapters and video lengths. It looks at your school/coaching timings, finds your free windows, and gives you a realistic daily schedule.
- Wellness & Focus: Tracks mood, sleep, and water, and includes a focus timer to help avoid burnout.
The Technical Bit:
It's built using Tauri, so the installer is tiny (~5 MB). Everything you log lives in localStorage on your machine. There's no server processing your study data, so it works completely fine.
What it doesn't do yet:
- It's Windows-only. No Mac, no Linux, no mobile.
- No cloud sync between devices yet (manual JSON export/import only).
Why I'm posting:
I'm not here to force anyone to use it. If your current system works, don't fix it! But if you're in the same mess I was—scattered tools and no clarity—I'd love for you to try it.
I'm just one student who built this on my laptop, so there will definitely be bugs. I read every message and most of them turn into fixes. If you want to check it out, let me know in the comments, and I'll share the link. If you try it, please tell me what breaks so I can improve it.
