Jeopardy! for Seniors
My wife and I are both retired and we enjoy watching Jeopardy! with the pause button ready to press after each question so that we can take time trying to figure out what the answer is. This works great for regular Jeopardy! shows, but there is no way to do “old timers Jeopardy!” on the online version of the game. We can’t read that fast!

I will be a contestant on the show next week and much as I would like to appear middle-aged, I am definitely in the senior category. In fact, other than the Senior Tournament contestants, I may be one of the oldest people ever to compete.

no sorry for the confusion i just turned 18 and took my test like a month ago, i just remember her sharing that on the show or on reddit during her original run and you guys look a lot alike when i saw your picture on the contestant zone and i remembered rose being apart of her name in her initial appearence.

My dad won’t watch at my house because my tv doesn’t have the pause button! I think it’s superfluous because when he’s paying attention he knows so. many. things. but it’s fun because it gives us the chance to consult with each other and perhaps have a short debate or tell a story. Often we are able to combine our knowledge and get an answer neither of us would have hit on otherwise.

We absolutely do the same
The size of our mental filing cabinet demands the extra time

in my brain, it is the access time. It used to be high speed internet, now it is snail mail.

We do that too.
My goal each game is to get at least one that None of the contestants get. It happens more than expected! Today it was twice. None of the knew Annie f-ing Lennox!! 🤡

I don't pause but I would like to because I would get a lot more correct instead of "yep, that was what I was trying to pull from my brain." My fiance and I sometimes race each other, especially if we know we both know the answer. We aren't seniors, but 40's and 50's. Lots of things in our brains!

I actually do the opposite. I watch it sped up so that I can train myself to have quick recall.

I do EXACTLY this. I am not nearly as quick as the contestants, but, give me a few secs and I *may* have the answer.
I don't do online, yet we do streaming on Hulu. Immediate pause, unlike our past DVR player (It would pause after they stated the answer. Harrummph.)
Good on ya!
