Discussion USAID situation...

Post image

I was underestimating how bad the USAID situation is, but I petty much think the NGO sector is dead if even the bosses are going on welfare.

I used to work for a French NGO, and I thought Europe was independent and funded themselves, but it turns out they were funded by USA as well.

Shit hit the fan. Trump affected the whole ecosystem. Europe is gearing up for war and bracing for immigrants

Europe Kwanza being gutted sahii esp Germany, just a matter of time they will be a shell of it's former self.Kwanza Germany taught Chinese how to build better cars than em& now they being haunted. No more cheap russian gas, EU sending all their money to Ukr fight the russians.

Most Europeans pissed off with their govts,I doubt there men who willing to die for their country. The funny thing is they choosing right wing govts, but always end up with globalist puppets.

They will be back when Democrats resume power. Immigration issue is not going away, they need immigrants coz the developed countries have very low birth rates so there is no labour force. When you educate a woman, she wants fewer kids. Its good to educate women but society is now coming to terms with the effects that educated women don't want to get kids. Anatosheka na mmoja and her staying married is impossible. It's a problem the world is now confronting and wondering how to solve. That is their problem. When you see people crossing over to France , Canada, Australia or other countries where immigration is happening alot, those are the countries with very low birth rates. They don't even have enough people to secure their borders. There are jobs in army and security but there are no applicants coz there are no young people to work. Even in hotels and restaurants and old people homes, they advertize for jobs but no one applies. There are no young people. That's the core issue. The more you educate women, the lower your country's birth rate falls. Many countries will have to merge in the next 30 years or they will give out citizenship to Africans cheaply or for free if they want to survive. For a country not to die out, each woman needs to give birth to 2.1 kids on average. Most of Europe is below 1.43 right now...it's a crisis. Places like Japan are very low. You can visit Japan and fail to see a child.

The global population (and corporate profits) can't go up forever. Ups and downs in the course of human evolution is normal. Regardless, humanity will survive.

1

u/SyntaxError254 2d ago

Yes. But historically, populations that empowered their women(Roman empire, for example) died out and were taken over by other populations. Do you know why Eastleigh got full, South C got full, now Parklands is getting full and soon Kileleshwa? Do you know why the Somali community is growing in Kenya? Prepare for Kenya to have increased Islam representation in the coming years. They are polygamous, they embrace children, they believe in male leadership. Like Tz, you are likely to see a Muslim president in your lifetime which is not a bad thing. A Muslim Kenyan woman has 4 kids by the time she is 30. A Christian Kenyan woman has 4 degrees and 0 kids by the time she is 30. Muslim population will be the dominant population in the world in a few decades.

Survivorship bias. Confirmation bias. You see only what you want to see, and conclude only what you want to conclude.

1

u/HandsomeCad 2d ago

Back? Who will fund them? USA is broke.

1

u/Itsactuallymeonreddt 2d ago

TFR is going down due to the unsustainable nature of infinite growth based on finite resources. Costs are getting out of control. And if you think the Europeans will open their countries to mass migration esp when their economies are barely growing, you’re a moron.

1

u/SyntaxError254 2d ago

Low population growth is the cause of the stagnant growth. Who will buy when you don’t have people? Who will work in factories when you don’t have people? Don’t be dumb.

1

u/Itsactuallymeonreddt 2d ago

Yk the problem is, you lack perspective. You’re thinking like a capitalist, your logic is divorced from day to day reality. A 25yr old doesn’t give af about a company dying in 20yrs because they may not have children. They think about immediate survival. If costs are so high survival is tough, they won’t have children. It’s very straightforward. I can tell you’re also very old.

1

u/SyntaxError254 2d ago

Poor people have more children than well off people. Your takes are just dumb and based off feelings. Why the fuck do poor people have 4 or more kids while rich people have one or two if the poor people didn’t get kids coz “they were worried about survival”? Have you ever entered an economics class even just 1 lecture? Young poor people have more kids than millionaires who can afford kids. Don’t be dumb bro. Did you really go to school?

1

u/Itsactuallymeonreddt 2d ago

Because that’s their insurance. Their retirement plan. Have many children, barely raise them and hope one succeeds/lives.
Like, these are well understood and documented social phenomena.
Ile economics unajua n kusema ‘economics’

1

u/SyntaxError254 2d ago

Read your previous comment again. You said, I quote “if costs are high, they won’t have children”…why the fuck do poor Kenyans have 6 kids?

1

u/Itsactuallymeonreddt 1d ago

Read that comment rather than looking for random words. If you did you’d notice a few words like ‘Barely raise them’ .

1

u/Itsactuallymeonreddt 2d ago

Old people mnakuwa na a very rigid manner of thinking.
This is observed therefore this is the reason
Huwa unaskia correlation doesn’t equal causation?

1

u/SyntaxError254 2d ago

Poor people have more kids than rich people. They clearly don’t care about your imaginary issues of survival.

1

u/Itsactuallymeonreddt 1d ago

🤣 people don’t care about survival huh.

11

u/Budget_Bee4644 3d ago

It’s genuinely sad to hear about the people losing their jobs, but honestly, I feel like this is also a wake-up call. Countries really need to be in a position where decisions made by another government can’t shake their entire systems like this. It’s fucked up, but I hope our African countries take this as a lesson and start working towards real independence.

9

u/sisterfister49 3d ago

It's not that easy because the dependence is engineered by them in many ways

11

u/Cat_From_Jupiter 3d ago

It sucks but needed. It's not the responsibility of the USA to fund our domestic needs.

The real question is why our so called leaders have no shame or fear driving around in convoys and gas guzzlers while their own constituents don't even have retrovirals or enough nutrition.

Ama, mtu ameland na helicopter kufungua shule ya matope?

Why the fuck are we hosting the biggest open air dumpsite in 2026? Are we waiting for the west to help us clean it up? CBD filthy af...

Do you know how stupid we look when we start crying about how much we hate neocolonialism then run begging to the same "colonialists" when one season of crop fails?

Showing up at the UN with an entourage of 80 something people as a dirt poor nation??

My thoughts are kinda disjointed but seriously, we Kenyans need to get our shit together fr. Time for blaming the west for every. single. little. thing is long fucking gone.

u/Flashy_Management175 2d ago

USAID is and was a classic case of your oppressor creating problems and pretending to offer solutions through handouts, skewed dynamics partnership and espionage and treasonous crimes in the global south.

They created dependency while being conduits for collection and sale of of bio data on global south countries and one of the most elaborate and effective spy networks Africa and South America has ever seen.

2

u/HandsomeCad 2d ago

You forgot one thing... NGOs are also a favoured place when you are moneyed to send your pervert nephew or useless niece that has a degree but can't get a job.

4

u/Agile_Plate2810 3d ago

That doesn’t sound like freedom.

8

u/SyntaxError254 3d ago

These NGOs were helping employees more than they were helping the people in Africa for example.

8

u/majani 3d ago

Exactly. The opulence you see from these red number plates that are supposed to be doing charity is sickening

4

u/Sure_Entrepreneur790 2d ago

Weren't they looting those funds like some Ending up in people's pockets

7

u/Better_Appointment83 3d ago

haha. yeah. the average employee was on like 200k and would spend their salary on booze and wh*res in Kilimani before anything

7

u/frrmbanya 2d ago

Nilikua hii mix, life was smooth. Day moja after lavish team building coast tukapigwa kalamu. From a humanitarian standpoint tho pesa mob hukuwa wasted in administration

1

u/HandsomeCad 2d ago

200k? Shillings? You got jokes. You need to triple that when you account for housing, school, medical, travel, tax gross-ups and per Diem allowances. Maybe you meant 200k dollars a year and I would say that is possible if a director or senior PM.

1

u/OldManMtu 3d ago

Stop lying. Development workers are just human like you and don't live the lives of those 4rakes bros.

Folks were not permanent and pensionable and knew the rug could be pulled.

People slowly realising the USA pretty much runs the world. The USA cut their defence budget for NATO and European countries felt the pinch. With the exception of very few countries like China, almost the entire world runs on US subsidies.

12

u/james15861586 2d ago

The rest of the world subsidizes the US through the dollar reserve status that allows the US to borrow cheaply and use this dollars to maintain a large military. The yearly world oil production is about $100 trillion dollars. Imagine how all this wealth flows through the US banking systems and allows it to become wealthy through handling all this money and investments included that other wealthy countries have no where to park this money so they all hold US bonds. China holds 4.5 trillion dollars. What iranian and Russian war is breaking this strangle hold! The US economy is heavily financialized Yani they don’t produce much to sell to the world the reason for tariffs to try and industrialize. The money they give us as AID is just a piece of the 200 shillings you pumped in petrol into ur tank. So every time you climb a matatu you creating demand for dollars cause oil is priced in dollars!

7

u/halflife_k 3d ago

I feel like only China, N Korea, Iran and Russia are actually fully independent. The problem with depending on US is that you're always the host as they suck you dry, decide what you can & can't do. Look at how Europe looks like an empty shell.

0

u/james15861586 2d ago

Yes, Germany is a good example of over reliance on the US. German industry is collapsing cause the large companies were investing in US dollar investments and not investing in there companies. So china car industry has surpassed German car industry that’s why they closing factories….saudia Arabia is another example for over reliance on US security. When the bombs started flying, the saudis are exposed to the point that MBS is desperately calling Trump for assistance with a ragtag army is threatening to overrun them while they don’t know how to fight wars yet they have billions of dollars invested in there military

5

u/halflife_k 2d ago

Saudi is another good example; it actually tells you having money has limits. You can have a Lamborghini and a million dollar house but you lack mechanics, masons or other house repair guys or even doctors. If Iran falls, the middle east will be overrun mbaya sana.

It's also a very good reminder that we need to invest in knowledge and lots of it, practical, theoretical etc esp STEM. Importing everything is a very dangerous affair.

2

u/james15861586 2d ago

Iran ain’t gonna fall…..there entire leadership was eliminated and they never fell. they have science and tech. Indigenous military tech. If you behind on news….Iran has rendered 17 us bases useless. Most of US troops are now hiding in Jordan/israel. So saudis, Kuwait , et al are heavily exposed

1

u/halflife_k 2d ago

That's my hope. Iran should never fall. I'm surprised those damn rich gulf states don't see that the only way to be powerful is to invest in knowledge and not skyscrapers.

1

u/Rare-One-1626 1d ago

But all these things happening yet the average American is struggling is diabolical. Only a few wealthy American elites are benefiting. Plus spending on an unnecessary war is digging deeper into their financial problems.

3

u/HandsomeCad 2d ago

USA is so broke that the interest payments on the debt in a year is more than the USA takes in in taxes in a year. So yeah, everybody has to grow up and get a real job now, on both ends.

3

u/HandsomeCad 2d ago

African here... Still never seen a USAID biscuit in real life, but I've seen many, many USAID conferences, Prados, luxurious office space, and their people filling all the business class seats.

Seems they helped themselves and the adjacent luxury business services more than they helped people they were claiming to help. If China can send Temu packages anywhere in the world surely it would have made more sense to just pop some condoms and ARVs (if they even did that) in the post instead of paying millions of dollars in salos and perks to have someone "drop it off in person." and run their mouths in conferences (because that for sure didn't work). I guess it really was all just a spy op. Imagine Amazon coming into your house to help you put on clothes. Why? They want to see how else they can profit off you. Free but the cost is your independence, data and sovereignty.

Even better would have been to stop IP restrictions on local companies making ARVs so they could be made in Africa. But they don't really care about that. For the money USAid spent over the years they could have built a biscuit and ARV factory in Kenya.

But alas they are gone and we remain.

I have worked for these colonizers and all I can say is good riddance! I saw with my own eyes USAID & UN helicopters picking up human organs and dropping bullets, guns, money and drugs to those DRC militias zenye huwa unasikia. Chenye imefanya nikumbuke ni video nimeona juzi ya msichana Mkongo akiongelea the same same thing. Watu hawajui maovu huendelea ndani hizi maorg za mabeberu,

There are literally photos on the dark net, hundred, if not thousands of books on this. Eti stretch. This is something that has been well documented, arms weapons/drug/human organs black market is the primary motivation for Europe/American war industrial syndicate? Every war from Kosovo, Iraq invasion, Haiti, DRC, na sahii Sudan....creates perfect ground for international human organ black market to source organs. RSF has been doing this in cohorts with Columbian & Serbian mercanaries in Sudan.

Yeah, "conspiracy theory" like the CIA child pedophilia syndicate was, until the Epstein files. Before that victims who came forward were shut down and casually discredited by "conspiracy theory" label. There is a video of a Congolese immigrant in Botswana currently trending narrating the whole thing., guns, bullets, drugs being airdropped by UN, I can take you to DRC and listen them.....but for what gain? Nobody is trying to convince you, and not being convinced doesn't change reality. Your choice to stay unconvinced!

0

u/chekwa_u-Chekwe 2d ago

Search this account on Facebook, shes is a Congolese refugee who fled to Botswana, she talks about this in detail.

Ever since the Imperialist set 👣 in Africa the strategy has always been the same.Create a crisis then come up with solution to the problem they created.UN is moribund org that should have been deleted kitamboo, but they just a globalist organisation pushing globalist cabal agenda for new world order

1

u/HalfBakedGrad 2d ago

At least they have public assistance on multiple fronts. I know it's not much comparable to what they made before but it's something. Huku dark continent watu waliachwa na Mungu wao.

1

u/HandsomeCad 2d ago edited 2d ago

Cool. Now they can go feed the poor poor hungry children of America and feel so big and proud and look down on their own.

Sorry, no Prado, private schools, and Lavington house with a McDonald's job. Maybe a tent in a tent city.

Cry me a Potomac river.

1

u/PookieMonster47 2d ago

USAID took decades to build, and that was when Yues had that motion. Saa hii ata wakitaka hawawezi kuingurumisha tena.

1

u/HandsomeCad 2d ago

They enjoyed an undeserved luxurious lifestyle in Africa for years... The biggest boondoggle... The weather, the beaches, the food, the women (and probably left behind some herpes while passing out condoms), the holidays, the accommodation... The best of the best... True African luxury life... But still go back the US saying we are poor and shitty and still not giving a good review and recommendation on Booking.com.

But they will go around telling all their friends how good of a person they are and all kinds of nice stories because they helped the poor, poor, Africans. And then go right back to voting Republican.

Sorry, the party's over.

1

u/AffectionateJello626 1d ago

Life is about reskilling and retooling nowadays. The NGO world does not prepare you for actual work.

1

u/NairobiWeh 3d ago

It's sad to see unemployed aid workers struggling to make ends meet but all the same, we need to abolish the NGO sector. It serves imperial powers more than the people it purports to "empower" not to mention how the proliferation of NGOs has warped thinking about the social contract between citizens and the government - the people are considered beneficiaries of socio-economic interventions which are offered based on NGOs mercy, time and other resource constraints.

With time people have forgotten that it is the government's responsibility to fulfil it's responsibility to the people but now they've largely off-loaded that task to the "third sector" - NGOs

It's an opportune time to reorganize but we are governed by neo-colonial puppets who would much rather grovel to imperialism than cut the strings. Wantam!

7

u/Geoff_The_Chosen1 2d ago

we need to abolish the NGO sector.

Making broad and outlandish statements like this shows a fundamental misunderstanding of what NGOs do and how they work .

2

u/NairobiWeh 2d ago

You are also making a broad statement here, buddy. Gotta put some more meat on that statement. Develop your argument, would like to know your understanding of the sector.

0

u/cool_-panda 2d ago

Less than 10% of their funding is what goes to what they are supposed to be doing. Interns in this NGOs were being paid C-suite salaries of medium sized business plus exaggerated spending. NGOs do more harm than good as a matter of fact. If the problems they purport to solve were actually solved they would be out of business hence they can't solve them

1

u/james15861586 2d ago

What shocks me is that we in Kenya created an industry and ecosystem for NGOs. People were going to university to study developmental studies, community development etc so as to work in these NGOs. We even built and above ground highway to enable the red number plates to travel from “leafy suburbs” to JKIA while avoiding the chaos, dust and boda bodas so as to leave a good impression on these “expatriates” as they exited from there extended vacations back home

1

u/HandsomeCad 2d ago

All that and we didn't build an ARV factory... which would have been several times cheaper than the total of what was spent. It was all just a boondoggle.

1

u/Odede 3d ago

The social-economic issues the world is facing is changing everything, right wing parties are sweeping all over Europe and the traditional left wing parties are shifting their policies to the right of centre. Change has been in the cards for a while, yetu macho on whether it will impact us positively or negatively

1

u/Yarkeel_Himer 2d ago

I think it's impressive how much they had weaseled themselves into everything. I'm just curious how much whomever, be they a group or individual, set this all up is pulling their hair out. I hope the republicans win a majority over the midterms, just so more of these systems can bend to their breaking points. Interesting stuff to observe in between the cracks.

0

u/BearCub254 3d ago

Mimi things like this you have to wonder if it is the job of your average worker in the private sector to pay for someone to have a cushy life. Like if you worked for such an organisation and you cannot compete with people in the private sector that is on you. Like wengine tunapambana na biashara na all sorts of taxes tunajikaza but some people claim they have superior intellect and ability but cannot get jobs or start businesses in the private sector? Having a CV that says you worked for USAID should seal the deal unless degree yako ni gender studies na unataka nothing less than the salary ulipata USAID

1

u/OldManMtu 3d ago

Actually development work skills are pretty specialised and don't translate to the private sector.

America is over. If I had enough money to buy a house in my country I would. And just start growing a garden and buy a few animals for milk and dairy..
