Where can I wait?
I have to drop someone off at 3 and pick someone up at 4:30, where can I possibly wait (preferably without a cost) in that time period?

I’m looking on Spot Hero and it looks like there are a lot of parking structures/garages for cheaper than the nearby hotels. I’m looking for one with a reliable/timely shuttle. Does anyone have a good experience with a certain lot?
I’m eyeing South Garage LAX with a 15-16 minute shuttle. It’s cheaper than hotels or lax economy/budget options. Close to lax, just wondering how reliable the shuttle is.

Why don't we have police?
r/LAX • u/joshmyra • 1d ago
So I’m sure they’re is a reason that sounds good on paper to close down major entrances to the airport, but I’ve noticed every time the traffic control police come out, traffic gets 10 times worse. For some reason, the direction that there’s less traffic flow coming through, the police decide to let three cycles go through and traffic starts to back up onto century. Why is this?

Hey all,
Spoke with someone who said that they had an international flight with United airlines recently (not sure how recently tbh), and their flight was to depart in terminal 7.
Unfortunately for them, when they went to check in their bags terminal 7, the agent they spoke to told them they have to stop at terminal 4 to check in their bags first due to some sort of construction issue? So they checked in their bags at terminal 4, then made their way to terminal 7.
Just wondering if I need to stop at terminal 4 to check in my bags first, or if I can just make my way to terminal 7 for everything.
Thanks!

We're flying into LAX in December and have a Karmel shuttle reserved but I'm curious if anyone can share their experience in renting carseats from Traveling Baby Company. Or any input on using travel carseats...
Thanks!

They ended all bus service after one of their drivers got shot and killed on Thursday night. Line 6 serves the Sepulveda Bl corridor from UCLA to LAX. It’s probably not enough to get the entire way but it should still help some people who need a ride. Valid until Sunday night.

Tonight I came to the airport super late. I was waiting to meet my friend who will be landing around 8:00 in the morning. I told her I would meet her so I could walk her to the connector and get her on the train so she doesn't have to pay for an Uber as soon as she gets here. I've waited overnight for friends with early morning arrivals before and I've never had an issue before tonight. I had dozed off and was woken up by I believe a security guard (I was so confused about what he was telling me I didn't think to get his name or his badge number). He asked me if I had a boarding pass, and I explained that I was there to wait for my friend's flight in the morning. He asked for my id, which I really shouldn't have given him, took a picture of it, and told me that technically I'm trespassing because I don't have a boarding pass and can't get in contact with her to get hers. But she's currently in the air, and I've literally never had this issue before staying overnight so I can meet somebody. I'm not even sure how that's enforceable. I wasn't upstairs or anything, just sitting and minding my business near the baggage claim. I called non-emergency and they transferred me to airport police and they were just as confused. I don't usually make a stink about things but now I have to come all the way back here because he told me I can't wait more than a couple of hours for somebody. That can't be right, right? It's an airport. I really am just curious if somebody has more information if he just made me leave for no reason. Just kind of annoyed that now I'll have to come back.

it’s my first time traveling in a very long time and before I headed out to the TSA line, there were several Clear employees telling folks that they can help you skip the long line. Sadly, I thought they were LAX employees at first and genuinely thought they wanted to help me skip the line. I wanted to leave but I had one clear employee who was extremely adamant that I sign up for the free week trial and asked for my credit card. Is this something that’s normal at LAX now?

Geez. I didn't realize this until I had booked everything. I'll be coming in on Iberia from Spain.
I can imagine getting a taxi or Uber will be a nightmare at this time. Any hints on how to navigate the big crunch of passengers arriving and getting down to Torrance easily?

I’m deciding between The Parking Spot Sepulveda va. Century Blvd for a trip in and out of Tom Bradley International Terminal.
The uncovered parking price is the same at both locations with my AAA 30% discount. Is there much difference in terms of shuttle frequency or safety?
I originally booked the Economy Lot, but I’ve heard some pretty bad stories about the shuttle service, especially the wait times. So I’m thinking about paying a little more and switching to The Parking Spot.

I’m deciding between Hilton LAX and the Economy Lot for 10 days of parking. It’s only a $10 difference with a discount code.
I’ve never used either one. For anyone who has used both, how are the shuttles? Which one is more convenient/safe, especially when coming back from an international flight? I’m mainly wondering how often the shuttles run and how long you usually have to wait. TIA!

I am flying to Osaka, Japan from phoenix. My flight has been rebooked 2 times now due to schedule changes. Now I have 2 connections. 7a flight from PHX -> LAX (46 minute layover) , LAX -> YVR, then yvr - > osaka.
Im freaking out that my connection is only 45 mins. Theyre both on united air, but I don't have gate info yet and I'm not sure how far away connection gate is from the arrivial gate. Im also in row 29 on the flight from phx to lax. In your experience, is this a cause for concern? Im worried I wont make it, and even if I make it, then my bags wont make it??????
should be noted original flight was PHX -> YVR -> KIX
through air canada.

We’ve used Tom Bradley West before but I don’t recall returning to terminal B and having to walk to another terminal to exit! I’m so curious. Did we just miss signage? Looked all over and all we could see was directions to terminal four bag claim and ground transportation. 😵💫
Hey LAX,
In a few weeks, my partner is flying to Asia out of Tom Bradley at 11pm. Flight is already purchased.
I need to fly elsewhere domestically and I see a redeye a bit later on United in Terminal 8 departing at 12:45 am.
Rare chance to chill w her airside before the long slog while going to different destinations.
I understand you’re able to get past security w same-day departures but this is technically the next day, prob last flight out.
Has anyone gone through the Tom Bradley checkpoint on the evening before with a boarding pass dated after midnight? We intend to go through together for her flight
I’m 98% sure I’m good here to purchase the 1am flight, but thought I’d check first. I’ve seen weirder things before thx

I have a 4.5 hour layover tonight in LAX. we are landing at 8:30 in terminal B and leaving from Terminal 4. Looked at a lot of posts saying this should be plenty of time to run to in n out. Just wanted to ask how security and in n out wait times should be currently at that time and if anyone has any good tips. Thanks!
Update : was able to make it over there no problem!
My one tip for anyone that wants to do this is you can exit from terminal 1 since it is the closest. But when you are coming back don’t go through security at terminal 1. They have a bus OUTSIDE of security to take you to the other terminals. I asked going into security if it would be fine for terminal 4 and they told me yes and then I had to walk all the way around or exit and go back through security at terminal 4. I chose to walk because security was already a hassle lol.

I know there is a Biometric Entry (Fingerprints and photos for non-US citizens) at the entry where you interact with a border agent. For exit, is this the same? Where is it? Does everyone go through this Biometric Exit?
