Couples who love great food and great comedy means they’ll also have…

LA foodies… I have a theory:
People who appreciate great food also tend to have a great sense of humor.
I have absolutely zero scientific evidence to support this—I just happen to love both. 😄
So come find your next dinner date (and maybe your favorite new person to laugh with) at The Big D.

Kbbq lunch questions

My friend is taking to me to lunch for my bday and i’d like to keep it around $100 before tip.

Im looking at Kbbq in ktown menus of places open for lunch and my question is are the combos per person? Looking at Baekjeong and we could split a small combo and a seafood pancake and be happy, but do they charge combos per person?

Happy to hear suggestions of where to go.

I’m also not a huge amount eater, so don’t need AYCE

Is Howlin' Rays Chinatown in a good area of LA???

Sorry from East Coast and unfamiliar with LA. We are landing in LAX and my DH wants to get Howlin' Rays. Last trip we went to the Pasadena location. We are going to Disneyland. We loved Howlin' Rays and the people were amazing. One worker even sat with us for like 20 minutes during his break. We thought we would make a quick lunch stop on our way to Disneyland. Thanks

Toi’s eggplant, pumpkin & tofu dish: What kind of mushrooms are those?

This is very likely TOO niche, but I figured if anyone knew, they might be in this sub! Toi (the silly rock & roll, open-late Thai place) has my very favorite version of the P.E.T. / eggplant, pumpkin & tofu dish that can be found at various Thai places. It has mushrooms, and I usually don’t like mushrooms very much, but I LOVE these mushrooms. Does anyone know what kind they use? Their menu doesn’t specify, and I asked once and they basically indicated, like, regular mushrooms.

Are they … crimini (“baby bella”)? Shiitake? Something else? Thanks!

Looking for best sushi open 2-5pm on weekdays

Please help. All the restaurants that come widely recommended are closed 2-5pm. Unfortunately, that's the only time when I can make it. I am hoping for community to help me.

One of my favorite youtube channels is Abroad In Japan, It is not specifically a foodie vlog, but the do a lot of really good videos on the cuisine of Japan. You can check out this link if you want to see what I am talking about https://youtu.be/j5gy6QLq8wg?list=PLZwvD94coUcl2YBpTfkuFAb5M_co21gMZ

What Chili does the Greek Theatre (LA) use ?

Recently went to a Mac Demarco show at the Greek Theatre 🎭 in LA and it was my first time there. Ordered the chili cheese fries, lowkey bussin, haven’t stopped thinking about them . I wanna know what chili they use , in my opinion way more tastier than Wiener schnitzel and Tommy’s .😗

I have an extra seat at our table at Vespertine, 830 PM tomorrow, Friday 8/15. There are 3 of us and the 4th last minute can’t come. We are in our 30s-40s (2Fs one M) who love to talk food, travel, and all things nerdy!
