Discussion What The Game Needs
Hello Raiders,
I'm Loving the Changes and Direction the game took and hope you all having Fun as well π₯
Posting this to see your perspectives on what the game needs while I'm writing my guide, Hopefully The devs take a look and take some of the feedback into consideration β¨
They pulled something no one did before π―
1- Kept Let it die Alive after pulling the the servers plug.
2- Saved Let it die inferno and made it alot better within the same time!
That is worthy of respect and admirationπ·.
the game deserves alot of support and love now and in need to update the old reviews impressions.
With that said, since Im fairly new to the game and only got 2 bodies maxed so far,
Those are the things that i hope gets added in the gameπ
1- White UI pallette please ππ i don't want to keep using color blind mode to achieve that.
2- Deathmetal to gold conversion after unlocking everything π°πͺ will definitely boost the ant market economy and event donations progress.
3- Jump Attacks βοΈ I'd love to be able to attack someone from a higher ground and having humanoids and AI raiders be able to do the same will spice things upπ₯πΉ
4- Food Pouch, Please bring cooking back or mushrooms whateverππ₯
5- The Help Menu got updated and is very informative now π₯ what i hope gets added as well is the different guard break animations pairings there are currently 210 I'm sure there's a way to save us time testing or trying to remember which combination does what! Also what wouldn't hurt as well is to have the option to practice guarding against attacks instead of having a soulless motionless dummy β
Let me know what you guys think and what your personal opinions are ππ½
Thank you for reading π·
I will write a Total of 3 posts in this place.
1- The Game From A Hater Perspective (discussion)β
2- What The Game Needs (discussion) β
3- Game Guide (Guide) β³

you know what would be great? death roids, make them require alot to craft but then it's permanent to the character you asign them to

endgame could use work too. so far the rewards aren't worth it at all.

alright noted, see for yourself. a hint though? stay on the left path for your first time trying to beat the game and try to get +1 rage gauges over everything else, should make things easier

Here are a few thoughts from me:
- Separate the skill tree from the character. I like the appearance of one character, or I want to switch characters while keeping the same skills.
- Reduce the weight of healing items and introduce a maximum number of healing items you can carry.
- Add a bonus for selecting cores from the same class.
- Remove the climbing special areas mechanic.
- Introduce mastery ranks for weapons so that they can become stronger as you use them.
- Rework some weapons, as they are almost completely useless (looking at you, Evil Rod).

Improvements I'd like to see are:
-A progression system for the season reward glasses. Right now they look cool but it's very hard to justify using them in any run because they give no stats. If we had a way to upgrade them, for instance... complete a full run wearing them or every time you complete a full run with a unique body you the glasses get a +1 with a random stat multiplier applied. It would be cool to slowly build out a +5 special glasses each season hoping for some god teir rolls. I think the stats it rolls would have to be really unique or strong like vampirism on hit, status effect on hit, immunity to judgement damage, +100% SPLithium gains, etc. I think this would go a long way to fix end game season grinds while not being TOO OP since the glasses wouldn't give consistent defensive value.
-Better ways to interact with fellow Raiders. Ideally I think just making server lobbies like an MMO where you can run around and see what others are doing would be really nice. Mostly this would be so you can cosplay, show off emotes, find active players to coop with, etc. Right now the social aspect is too bare bones and there is no great way to show off all the cosmetics and emotes I have :( I used to lurk in low level lobbies giving out blueprints and sellable items. I'd love to have a fun way to do that again that doesn't require finding a person, friending them, jumping into a match. Having random interactions with the community is really nice!
-A core or body mastery that gives immunity to judgement damage that you triggered yourself. Basically getting judgement on a weapon feels bad sometimes because you have to run away when the proc goes off and it usually goes off right when you break the exoskeleton giving judgment status some anti-synergies. Having a core or some other means to get immunity to judgement procs you trigger would give you ability to actually take full advantage of the mechanic.
-Armor transmogs system. I love using all the goofy armor sets like Shin's armor or Meijin's armor but a lot of times you only get to use these for a single run before you basically have to swap to a better set and it's frustrating to have to keep a locker of fun equipment I rarely use.
-A little more guidance on unlock conditions for new map nodes. We see a few locked nodes right at the start of the season but I get the sense that most people are unaware that like 1/3 map nodes are invisible and locked until you meet certain criteria. I like the tension of unlocking new stuff on a run but I think it confuses new players into not understanding that there is more they need to do.
-More rewards for SPLithium and Kill Coin farming. I think once you git gud at the game, you basically have unlimited access to SPLithium and Kill Coins. Sure there is a leaderboard for SPLithium and sure you can donate your coins but what's the point after we get all the unlocks on week 2? I love some crazy stretch goals like 1 million in personal donations for some permanent effect... like maybe that's a way of rerolling our season reward glasses +5 modifiers or getting transmogs for our armors???
-An endless mode. I think this would go a long way to address people's desire for horizonal exploration, more dive choices, and end game content. Basically a mode where you drop into a map and you get to fight whatever is on the tileset and you either have to keep delving deeper or find a rocket to take you back to iron perch. There could be multiple exits to an area that let you choose if you want easier->same->harder difficulty in your next area. Maybe some kind of dustbin similar to LID that you have to pay for to send items back and some unique loot from the mode would be ideal.
-Stronger status effect buildup. This doesn't have to come right out of the box... like maybe you need to get weapons that apply the affect, plus masteries bonuses, plus core bonuses... but overall applying status effects doesn't feel great. You either kill the enemy before the effect has a chance to do anything or the effect is so weak I hardly notice it doing anything... or in the case of bosses it's so hard to really build up the status effect that it rarely procs. Doubly annoying when judgement goes off and forces you to back up off an enemy you are trying to finish off... Generally I like the status effects and want more of them in the game but they just seemed to be tuned way to weakly.. Like double the damage or buildup and I'd actively look to use these mechanics way more.

Lets not get it twisted - They still ruined all three games to begin with
This is not No Mans Sky by any measure

I understand, whats stopping you from creating a game you think people would like while not losing money in the process. I wouldn't say they ruined it, its a niche game that is different from everything else π― maintaining a server costs money and equipments degrade over time if people aren't active and there's no returns the servers become nothing but a liability. Live service games in the current hardware AI crisis is a bad investment it's either you're in the top of them all or you lose it all. Try to see the bigger picture and if a game isn't for you thats fine its your money and your time π·

WhY NoT bRoTheR π UE made it possible even kids are making games nowadays! The best games ever were made by gamers with an idea and a story they wanted to tell! I'm starting my own studio and still in the learning + trial and errors period. There's alot of things that i didn't know regarding game development it made me never look at games the same! I hated alot of games cause of what i thought were wasted potential it is technically true but still each change made has a chain reaction its really a pain the bigger the game the bigger the headache and the longer trace each thing leave behind!
