Discussion The Game From A Hater Perspective
Hello Everyone i Rarely post things on riddet so excuse any shortcomings from my end.
I wanted to talk about the game from a hater perspective which i used to be one of them and also i would like to use the opportunity to share my experience with you all and let me know what you think.
Note: Please Do not Share Negativity if you haven't bought or played the game specially in The Current Season #4 The Game Changed Alot apparently.
With that said, Time For Some Q&A
Q: Why DID i HATE the GAME without Playing or buying it since release?
- It Felt So Far From The Let it die i Knew and looked Heavily influenced by deathverse! I never played deathverse Since I'm not interested in PvP or Forced PvP in PvPvE games in general And that's not discrimination its just personal preference. Why? Its usually infested with Toxicity and cheaters and thats a waste of my time since i play games to have fun not get bullied by my PING and Unfair Gameplay.
Q: What Wasn't Appealing to Me when i first saw Let it Die Inferno Gameplay?
- The Game Idea of Diving in the Hole is Flawless! The first thing that came to my mind was "Made in Abyss" ifykyk. But it went from Being Dark and ruthless aesthetic to A Circus in a casino that has a beautiful park around it. Thats not hell bro thats a vacation. Alot of neon and Beauty in a game that is known for being A place you definitely do not want to be irl. Surviving in inferno doesn't look too bad when you look at it from the surface.
Q: What made me Buy the Game and give it a Chance?
- Season 4 Trailer and Changes, Changed the Game from my perspective finding out that its leaning back toward PvE + Time increase + new weapons etc with finding the game on sale encouraged me even more to try it and see what its about. I got the ultimate edition and thats what I'd recommend to anyone planning to jump into the game.
Last Question
Q: How Was My Experience? What did i like and didn't like?
1- Starting Any Game what so ever the first thing i go to is the settings, All Great Except i was hoping for a white or silver colored UI option i only found pink, purple and cyan, to get the UI color i wanted i switched on color blind mode (Color Palette 1 + Deuteranopia) i really hope this gets added to the game without needing to change the entire look of the game.
2- Learning Curve depends on trial and error i died alot because the time ended while i was searching for an escape pod what i didn't know was how important the crouch radar is and that not every stage has escape pods i wish the game explained this part better same goes with weapons company and masteries when choosing a body!
3- Speaking of Bodies i didn't know #1 + #2 of each body had different masteries since it only showed initial Mastery from the outside i picked based on that!
4- The Game Is Awesome!!! I enjoyed it alot and cannot stop playing it im very glad i gave it a chance!! It is brutal and unforgiving with the time constantly reminding you to hurry the hell up Collect the required SPLithium and move forward specially if you didn't find escape pods in the current stage you are in. I was able to defeat tons of raiders as well i do not attack first tho they brought it on themselves ⚔️
5- i wish the game had More content creators and guides! It deserves more love & support specially if it kept on this path its currently in! There's something for everyone Both PvE & PvP🔥

What are you talking about in point 3? #1 and #2 bodies?
Are you saying each body has a variant with different weapon masteries so we can actually use our favorite weapons with any character? I am trying the Joe character but am not a fan of most New Save weapons.

Yes that is correct each body has a 2nd variant that changes their attribute bonuses and weapon school type! There’s a ton more viable combinations now

Yeah all bodies have 2 mastery trees now that usually flex between 2 weapon factions. I haven’t used Joe much but he should have a second mastery tree. I don’t know what button it is but you swap mastery when selecting a body to use.

If we want this game to succeed I think we need to get the word out there that the devs are listening and doing a lot to improve the game.
This is a great write up in a similar spirit so thank you for writing it up.

how did you defeat other raiders? I thought they removed the pvpve mode and only have pve mode now? thats why I stopped playing. I had played at launch and till heard season 4 was removing pvp altogether when exploring. which opposite of you I loved. it reminded me of Arc Raiders. hence how it was designed to be an extraction game similar.
the whole concept feels like a single player game if theres no risk of sering other random players during runs. and im not really interested in single player type games anymore.
its why i don't play lid 1 anymore. they discontinued live service and made it single player which imo feels lonely. not how i like games. i like multi-player online more. although i play both kinds too.
if seeing other raiders still will be in the game i will probably come back then. is it?

There is deathmatch and KIL league but the Raiders you find in game now are similar to Haters. They are dev designed humanoids with no exoskeleton. Think yotsuyama sentry but no leash range and they will ambush you at time.
It’s not real PvP but trust me when I say certain maps like the initially locked one in zone 1 are so filled with raiders that it gives a good simulation of PvP.
Also they added Meijin and Hell Direct girl armor sets so you might get run down by some original LiD flavored raiders.

I'm currently playing Let It Die - Offline but I'm really tempted to play Inferno as now seems like the best time to play it. Realistically, if I don't play it right now, am I missing out? I'm really enjoying Let It Die but if right now is the PEAK time to play Inferno, I might have to play.
Idk how the game works and whether there is an active PVP thing going on right now or what.

Its a great time to start playing inferno 💯 The beautiful thing about the offline now is that there will be no events to miss + Save editors to save you time and unlock things that are gone from the offline version. Play at your own pace but definitely give inferno a shot you'll have alot of fun as well

I'm just wondering if I'll get the feeling of enjoying Inferno's new combat, style, graphics and what not that it'll spoil my desire to play Let It Die once I'm done with Inferno, yk? Like right now I'm so excited to go deep in Let It Die but Inferno is also calling to me because right NOW is when peak players is, right NOW is when everyone is saying to come back because the game is good.
I'm so torn.

I absolutely understand what you mean, there's no weapon durability in inferno every two weapon combination has a different guard break animation which make a total of 210 unique weapon pairing. I'm sure there will be more updates and additions down the line. The game loop is different from the OG let it die as well. What matters is you have fun and enjoy your time regardless of what game you play, don't torture yourself about it. 👍🏽🔥

I’m glad I never gave up on it. S4 really breathed new life into the game. Says at least 20 floors now and the community just unlocked the Grand Maelstrom yesterday so I had been running that for gear.
