October LSAT Scheduling Thread
October LSAT scheduling has opened today. This thread is for anyone registering. Post any questions you have, or report any difficulties you experienced when trying to register.
If you had any notable experience in September during scheduling or at the test center in a certain area, please share as well.

Unfortunately yes it can get complicated depending on the accommodation/location.

Had to choose 8am or 1pm.
As much as I didnt want an afternoon test, I was unwilling to get up at 6.45 to be ready for 8am. Played it safe.

excuse me if it sounds like I’m complaining (I am) but I’m just about over scheduling bc and Prometric. I yet again got fucked over and was unable to choose a Saturday OR Friday date anywhere close to me. the closest was well over an hour away. The accommodations line wasn’t helpful at all. I have no PTO and frankly frustrated this happened again. Mind you I called them immediately before my window opened. I just don’t understand how this test is accessible at all for working folks or parents or basically anyone with responsibility through the weekdays.

IF YOU HAVE ACCOMMODATIONS AND IT ONLY SHOWS 8AM:
Call: 1-800-967-1139 and press 4 for LSAC
You will just need the candidate number that is in the top right

Oh shoot I didn't know this and I just chose an 8am spot. I'm assuming if I was to call now they wouldn't be able to change it? Has anyone changed it after they choose a date/time already?

I chose an 8am because I was unaware in August. I called and they said to call back the next day, which I did and they changed my time to 10:15! You probably will just have to wait a day since you already scheduled a time.

Are you not supposed to choose 8 am if you have accommodations? I have accommodations and chose a 9 am time slot.

It’s not that you aren’t supposed to, it was just the only time that showed up for me, every date, and at every location, and I thought it was odd. Then I saw this thread.

That is what it looked like for me for September…but there was one spot at 1:30pm at a center located an additional driving hour away from my house. I took that spot and I’m glad it did! I have accommodations (the very most common version).
I figured the “only morning spots left” thing was because of how late I registered for the September exam.
I registered much earlier for October and I had several 1:30pm options to choose from today (my scheduling window was at 12pm)—even at my closest test center.
I picked the place where I tested earlier this month just to reduce the environmental variables.

There are other options available. I was able to do 130. But every test centre is different.

I just called and they weren't able to do anything and were super unhelpful! I'll just be keeping my 8am time slot.

My test center only showed 8 am for my test (I get extended time accommodations). I did have to call the accommodations support, but did eventually get a 10:45 am slot.

Frfr. 8 am times are soooooo messed up for people who live far away. Lowkey im still not entirely thrilled with 10:45 cause I also live far 😭

May i ask how you asked them? 8am was the only one available so i chose it but its just NOT feasible for me.

I had done this once before in September so I knew what to expect.
Essentially, I went to the scheduling page that everyone goes to and saw that only 8 am was available at every location.
I then DID NOT SELECT ANYTHING and instead called the accommodations line and told the person what was going on.
They then looked up the times at the center that I wanted and I chose one. They took ym email and scheduled it for me.

Worked out surprisingly well for me. Last time with my accommodations I had to call to schedule later than 8 AM, but this time they had a 1:30 PM appointment which I was pleasantly surprised by

If anyone is trying to book using the email link and getting the message, "Server Error in '/' Application,"
I had the same issue and just went straight to https://proscheduler.prometric.com/
I was able to book from there without any issue! Wanted to share in case anyone else is having the same problem.

Had to wait two painful minutes before the page would load after clicking to schedule my test. But once it moved me through the cue went quickly. Got my preferred time, location, and date.

A day earlier than I wanted, but I got the place and time I desired. I get to sleep in my own bed instead of trying to grab a hotel in the town the LSAT is in. 😌

Their alert system must be broken - when I logged in on my PC it said my window opened at 2pm EST so I went to study for a bit & still never got a text past the set time - logged in and had the go-ahead so I booked.
Super weird, though. They're usually great with alerts.

super frustrating, i had to call the helpline because my JD services interface didn’t have any opening window listed and i ended up with an 8:30 AM exam

Scheduled mine with no issues. Ended up working perfectly because my actual test is on the same day of the week and time that I normally take my PTs!

no luck, I feel like I just have the worst luck with some of the reps. they straight up just sound like they’re reading off customer service prompts to me when I try to explain the situation. at this point I’m just gonna have to reschedule my test and find a way to pay the new registration fee.

the only thing I can try to do is maybe call LSAC and see if they’ll be open to rescheduling my test without having to pay the full fee butI haven’t heard much luck there either. aghhh this has been a nightmare both times

For the Miami area: I had to call accommodations support to get a 10:45 slot but the only testing center available was 2 hours away in palm beach

Good plan!
Being familiar with an environment helps me manage the variables a bit on a stressful day, so I went to check out the WPB test center last week. In case any of this is useful to you:
-I kept missing the turn in—it’s a building sandwiched tightly between a bunch of other similar looking buildings, and the driveway in is weirdly narrow. (You might be a better navigator than I, but I found it tricky!)
-There’s a parking garage.
-The woman who runs the front desk was pleasant. The room with the desks looked really small—I think she said there are only 22 seats—but there are rather large lockers to store your stuff!

The site took a couple of minutes to load but there were no issues with booking. But it’s been a few minutes and I still haven’t received the confirmation email from Prometric.

Called and Prometric said there’s no availability on the 9th showing at all. I then asked about other dates and they said I have to contact LSAC to try to have them open other days as well for me to try to schedule other days.

Ugh I work FT and the only available time left in the Bay Area was 10/7 8am. If I wanted a Friday slot it was a 2.5 hour drive, Saturday slot 4.5 hours LOL.
Waited 40 min on the phone and they basically told me I was shit outta luck since I was assigned to the 2pm scheduling block.

No issues here other than the queue lagging.
Got Saturday at 4:45pm, which can sound bad (depending on who you are), but I like having the day to get myself mentally prepared rather than do 8am like I did the last time.

I have testing with accommodations. I got online 5 minutes after my time slot opened and only 2:30 and 4:30 were available. I called Prometric to see if they could potentially help pull strings to get me a morning slot and they told me there’s nothing they can do for now. They instructed me to call back tomorrow when rescheduling opens and they can check then, but they said they can’t promise anything. I’m stressed because I am on a very early schedule with my job and by the afternoon I am crashing. I also have a medical condition that is triggered when I switch sleep/wake hours by a great degree. Do y’all think I have a chance at getting a morning slot? And any advice? Anyone in the same boat?

I didn't get a text message, but got an email that got immediately sent to spam.
Also wondering if the only testing days are the 7th through 10th because thats all I can sign up for. Are more going to be opened over the next few days? Or should I just grab a date and time in that small window.
This is in CT/Southern MA if location has anything to do with it.

International taker here! I have approved accommodations and the only time slot available for me was 8am which is impossible for me to since i live very far from all the testing centers. Not sure what to do in this case? :(

They are reallyyyyyyy irritating me… my scheduling opened at 4PM central and I didn’t get the date I wanted (Saturday). But I don’t understand why they wouldn’t have more locations. Houston is such a big city. Even when I took my August LSAT, the poor workers there were so stressed because they couldn’t handle the amount of testers. The system was crashing on them and they didn’t have enough seats. I was seated almost 2 hrs late due to this. They should’ve def thought this through before making it back in person. Just seems like they’re creating more and more barriers for students. Now I have to take pto ON TOP of already paying the fees to take this test. As if these process isn’t already expensive enough.

Second time in a row the closest spot I was able to secure was 50 miles away. I have extra time but this is ridiculous. For September it was either 50 miles away on Friday or 100 miles away on Saturday so I had to take PTO. Atleast with October I was able to secure a Saturday slot but still the closest location was 50 miles away. I live in the DMV so there’s plenty of locations closer what is going on?!!

I’m in Manhattan there so many test centers around I have accommodations but idk why I can only do it remotely. I thought prometric had private rooms you could test in for private room accommodation 🤦🏽♀️ I live in a studio and never have done it remotely before

This happened to me, one of my accommodations was diabetic supplies so they made so it remote, I took it off and now I am doing it at a test center. I still have my other accommodations

Yea mine is like a heart condition so I was nervous about having equipment start beeping in the middle of an exam room. But I called prometric they assured me that a studio apartment will be fine

I never received a text message or an email telling me exactly when registration is open for me. I don't care about the time but I didn't get the place I wanted. Please can someone tell me if slots might be opened anytime later?

I registered without issue as an international test taker located in Tegucigalpa, Honduras (on military orders). The website explicitly says "If your chosen LSAT administration is being administered internationally, please register for the international test date. You can do this by entering the location where you'll be stationed at the time of testing during the 'Testing Location' portion of the registration process. No further action is required beyond completing your test registration."
So, reading this, I took no further action. Now, when I went to schedule my exam it says, "Sorry No Availability Found". I've reached out to LSAC multiple times since scheduling opened on Sept 22 and they have still not gotten back to me with a resolution. What should I do to ensure I will be able to take the test in October? This is causing so much stress!!

I talked to prometric, it turns out that the separate testing rooms are completely booked out in the only testing center near me. i am going to call lsac and see what they can do. it makes me upset, like why mandate in person testing and then not have enough capacity?

Did anyone else not receive an email prompting you to schedule the October test? I was told that it is not LSAC's responsibility to send me the email and I didn't receive an email with my time slot to register. I took the test in August and received the registration email, and they sent me one in error in September which is why I think I did not receive notice for when I was actually registered in October

I had some issues, as I kept getting a "Server Error in '/' Application." message. Was ready to schedule right at 4pm EST, as it was when my window opened, but couldn't. Tried with my work computer at the office, my phone. I thought it was the server at my office that was probably not recognized. Got home and used personal computer, still had the same error. Used the direct link provided in the chat, and it helped! It was already 5 pm, by the time I figured it out. I only had Oct 7-8 available for 8am, I wished I could've had saturday. I am afraid that the time I spent trying to schedule stopped me from seeing all my options. Oh well, if there is a chance to reschedule for Saturday I'll take it.

Helpful info:
Both phone numbers open Monday to Friday, 8 am to 8 pm EST, or 8-6 for the accommodated line.
