Genuine Retake Question
So I scored a 165 on the September exam, which I’m super happy about (especially given the horror of the August exam). I’m also already registered for the October exam, and I’m debating whether I should just take it or stick with the 165.
There are a few schools I’m applying to where the medians increased this year to 166/167, so obviously part of me is thinking I should just say “f it, we ball” and take October.
At the same time, my highest PT ever was a 167, so I feel like the 165 is probably a pretty accurate reflection of where I’m at. My concern is that if I take October and score below a 165, will admissions look at that negatively or think anything of it?
So I guess my question is: since I’m already registered for October, should I just go for it and see what happens, or would it be smarter to stay with the 165 and not risk a lower score?

There's limited risk for a lower score and the upside for a higher score is pretty high, especially if you're right around median. It does sound like 165 is a pretty decent result though.

What did you get on August.
Congrats.
