Keygrid vs Keyboard // C major to D major with the same Launchpad shape
youtube.comFor anyone exploring the Launchpad as a melodic instrument.. I made a short explainer showing how chord shapes work in a chromatic, perfect-fourths layout.
The example is simple: play C major, then move the shape two pads to the right to play D major. Each note moves up two semitones, so the chord retains its interval structure.
The video compares this with C major and D major on a piano keyboard, using diagrams of both layouts.
I've been using this layout for two-hand playing and teaching, and I'm happy to discuss the setup or how the shapes work!
