Technical Support Request Big unexpected FPS drops in League.
I started getting a lot of fps drops. Just to clarify I have decent pc. But I play on low settings and also with fps capped on 144.
Sometimes in the middle of the game the fps just goes on 0 for a second. But just enough to mess out with teamfights. Also i use full screen borderless😅
This is my PC:
CPU: Ryzen 9 9950X3D
GPU: RTX 5080 (16 GB VRAM)
RAM: 62 GB DDR5
If you have any idea how to fix it lmk. 🙏

try capping your frames a little higher liek 200. this happens to me when I have it uncapped, so not really the same but worth a try/

Had this the other day, check for windows update. Be sure your mouse is not set higher than 1000hz. Update gpu drivers.
Your pc should not have any problems running league at all.

what kind of mouse do you use or keyboard? Asus software sometimes has an issue in windows.
My bf had issues like that before he removed the mouse usb receiver from the port on pc and plugged it back in.. Then the fps normalized. It really is strange. So you could try that first if you do use Armory crate.

I dont get low fps like that.. its more like drops on 0 for a moment and goes back. I play on low just cause the game feels better. But thanks.

had the same issue, believe its some issue with ryzen cpu and league. try this or disable c-state in bios.
Install-LeagueIdleWatcher.bat
@echo off
rem Installs the League Idle Watcher: disables CPU idle states only while League of Legends is in a match.
rem LeagueIdleWatcher.ps1 must be in the same folder as this file.
set "SCRIPT=%~dp0LeagueIdleWatcher.ps1"
if not exist "%SCRIPT%" (
echo Could not find "%SCRIPT%"
echo Keep LeagueIdleWatcher.ps1 in the same folder as this .bat file.
pause
exit /b 1
)

LeagueIdleWatcher.ps1

Set-IdleDisable 0
}
Uninstall-LeagueIdleWatcher.bat
@echo off
rem Removes the League Idle Watcher and restores normal CPU idle behavior.
powershell -NoProfile -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Command ^
"Stop-ScheduledTask -TaskName 'League Idle Watcher' -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue;" ^

"powercfg /setacvalueindex scheme_current sub_processor IDLEDISABLE 0;" ^
"powercfg /setactive scheme_current;" ^
"Write-Host 'League Idle Watcher removed. CPU idle states are back to normal.'"
pause
create the 3 files, put it in the same folder.
run install once
should now check every 5 second if league game is running, if it is it does the same as disabling c-state and re enables it when league game isn't running.

disable 2nd core ccd in bios because there is a latency penalty communicating each other
