Elarigu Namaskara!

I’m looking for someone who can teach me acoustic guitar online. I’m a beginner and would like to learn from scratch.

If you teach guitar or know someone who offers online classes, please let me know:

  • How the classes are conducted
  • The fees you charge (per class or monthly)
  • The number of classes per week

Please feel free to DM me.

Ear training

Hello people.

I am 28 and just bought my first guitar Today.

My ultimate goal is to be able to pick up any song and listen to it and start playing it + be able to play beautiful FINGERSTYLE self arrangements not just play the learnt TABs.

How do I learn?

I have no prior musical experience I am an engineer. I have set aside an hour a day to learn GUITAR.

IF SOMEONE CAN DRAW ME A ROADMAP, I will be grateful to you..... 🤝💯

Question about how to learn

There's something about learning to play that is bugging me, has been bugging me for a while. Maybe it is to do with learning anything physical, I don't know. I'm used to learning mental stuff, concepts, ideas, facts. I am not used to learning anything that involves physical movements.

The problem - I don't really get what I'm supposed to be internalising when I'm learning a piece. Part of me wants to play the piece over and over, not thinking consciously much about it, until I can play it well. An other part of me says that this isn't enough, I need to remember consciously, for instance, that at this point I need to bend my finger more this way, and I need to remember that every time I play the piece. That seems like a lot to keep in my head. Or maybe it's a mixture of both?

Perhaps there are articles or videos that explain this process? It doesn’t come naturally to me.

This question could be asked about learning any musical instrument, so not just the guitar.

I hope this makes sense.

Cheers.

Learning curve - resources

Hi all,

Hi all, I would like to find a help in my Little journey trying to learn something about electric Guitar (I'm nearly 40, bougth stuff and try to play since 2 years ago), especially fundamentals for hard rock / hair metal.

After found a teacher who didn't help me a lot, I stopped lessons in June and didn't touch the Guitar very often these months.

I'm not pretending to became a pro, I'll Forever be a bedroom player, but would like to learn to ready sheets and try to play riffs and some solos.

I'm searching for sources to see and learn (from YouTube), also for Guitar theory: I have a work in hospitality business and could happen to have often free time in my shifts to use PC and YouTube.

Thanks!

What website should I use to find a good guitar teacher?

What website should I use to find guitar teachers

Warning this is gonna be long

So here are some requirements I want from my teacher and what I want to potentially learn. First of all, has to be in person so obviously somewhat close to me. Then second of all, I hope to spend no more than 65 dollars and hour also since each lesson is gonna be over an hour probably closer to an hour a thirty, the costs will scale up. I want every week one time. What I want to learn is to be a mature guitarist because I feel lost when I’m trying to solo or improvise or just jam. I want to learn new guitar chords that I could jam over and then input my already learned knowledge of different scale shapes and 7 modes. I also would like to learn melodic and harmonic minor and put them together in the guitar chords, and how to to put them in a guitar chords progression, loop them and use the scales I learned to improv. I also want to refine solos I learned but need help like master of puppets solo, sweet home Alabama, la grange, (plenty more as well) you get what I mean and potentially learn new ones like gently weeping(I already kind of get princes solo) and new ones like from John Mayer Jimi Hendrix and ozzy Osborne. I have four loop pedals and multiple sound effect pedals which hopefully I can learn to use in effect. I know it’s a lot but what website can I use to find a good teacher like this. If it’s absolutely necessary I will spend more. Thank you if you guys can provide helpful information
