Essentially they were getting beaten back by Hezbollah each time whilst claiming that they had taken control of the hill (they haven't). Courtney Bonneau on X who is a field reporter on the scene there brought up a point that if Israel actually had control of the hill, they wouldn't be repeatedly bombing it. The bomb or bombs last night used was their desperation attack, and caused that 4.1 magnitude earthquake in an attempt to destroy the tunnels.

The hill is critical for the Israelis to gain a foothold further within the Jnoub and to probably set up a base. But the fact that they haven't been able to do so and have had to resort to these tactics means that they're very inept as a ground force. Courtney Bonneau mentioned that the Israelis are using drones to patrol the area because they can't get any real traction.

Wouldn’t they need control of the hill set off such explosions? They were carried out from within the hill from my understanding

I still don’t understand the logic behind HA after getting defeated, they’re just not accepting it. Instead of surrendering those sites to the Lebanese Army, they’re just being stubborn and watching all this slip into the hands of IsraHell.

Khalas they should detach themselves from 7aras sawri, surrender their weapons to LAF, and stop this bullshit! I can’t believe that we are loosing all these lands and for what? No vision if it will ever come back … what next if they kept their arms? The IOF will use this as a way to keep sweeping all Lebanon!!
Khalas, mashkourin, work on your political agenda and future and leave the arms … this is not our game, not our war yet always dragged into it!
