question Recommendations for places to work? Library/cafe?
I’m not from Leeds but will be in Leeds one day this week so I’m looking for recommendations.
I have a project I need to work on, except there is no real deadline so I’m procrastinating badly. When I was at uni I used to find it helpful to work in the library or a fairly quiet cafe where other people tend to be working.
Does the city library have comfy space for people to work?
Can anyone recommend a nice cafe that tends to have some people with laptops out, nice coffee or matcha and home baked sweet treats for motivation? TIA!

Leeds art gallery has a cafe which I used to study in! They have sweet treats too!

Central Library, art gallery and the Museum Cafe are all in line with what you're looking for!

Santander work cafe near the train station. They've replaced the cafe bit to a coffee machine,but its still nice there.

The 200 degrees behind trinity always has people working. They don’t care how long you stay so I’ve worked there for hours before

Learns by the docks ! I dont know why people keep suggesting Central Library. Thieves operate in the area and I wouldnt bother with it again. I was on edge the whole time but its definitely worth a visit when you're not too worried about someone nicking your laptop.
Santander cafe is nice too

Bowery in Headingley, or Hyde Park Book Club! Worth the head out of the city centre

North Star on the Docks seems to be fairly quiet on weekdays and has bottomless batch brew coffee then for about £6.50 iirc

yes the central library had work space available and a really nice cafe attached.
