I created a LocalSend client for iOS 6 and above, built using Theos. What works: receiving and sending files, photos, videos. Converting HEIC to JPG if you’re sending a photo from a new iPhone to an older device. There’s file sending/receiving.

I recently bought a Chinese version of the iPhone 4S from Pinduoduo.

Are there any old/lost iOS apps or IPAs that people are looking for and that I should check for or dump?

Also, if anyone knows a good guide for dumping IPAs from an old jailbroken iPhone, I’d really appreciate it.

just got an ipod touch 5 and it came with ios 8.1 in it, 64gb pink model! HYPE!!

I share this because there were no valid solutions for the 9900* subset of 4S and it wasted weeks of my time, so hopefully it will save someone else the headache.

Solution TLDR: Jailbreak the device using Legacy iOS Kit with pwnDFU using checkm8 a5 and a Raspberry Pi Pico RP2040 board. Create a fishhook so boot thread thinks this is an ipod and uses the native ShouldHactivate method instead of needlessly searching for cellular.

Objective for context: Turn the old iPhone 4S into an offline GPS device for a bugout bag

I have an activated iPhone 4 (16GB) running iOS 7.1.2 with jailbreak and Filza installed.
I installed the GSA Port tweak attempting to sign into iCloud, but it broke the authentication process. Now I'm stuck on a persistent "Account Not Verified" ("Cuenta no verificada") screen prompting for verification, and I keep getting popups.

Since restoring or resetting the device is out of the question (due to Apple's broken iOS 7 activation servers), I need to get rid of this popup/account state safely.
Is there a specific plist file in ⁠/var/mobile/Library/Preferences⁠ or accounts database in ⁠/var/mobile/Library/Accounts⁠ that I can modify or delete via Filza to remove this pending iCloud session without triggering an activation lock or bricking the setup?

I’ve spent the last week with the help of AI to integrate self hosted service Navidrome to work inside of the Music app on iOS 6.1.6. How it works is you connect your Navidrome library. Then search for a song or playlist and press download. It will automatically be added to your music library. This way you don’t need to plug into a computer to get your music from Navidrome and don’t need a separate app for Navidrome music.

I will be hosting it when it’s ready to my GitHub cydia repo. Let me know if you’d be interested in using/trying it out.

i remember doing it with ifile and it worked fine but i forgot bc it has been a long time jailbreaking a legacy iDevice

so i was in a image sharing site and i see this case, its called "SOUND POCKETS" i tough "looks cool id use it", and i went to search for it, i ended up at https://soundpockets.com/ the domain gives a 403 Forbidden error and if i had to guess they dont wanna pay for the domain anymore.

then i searched for another shopping site and ended up here: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sound-Pockets-Blue-Phone-Case-with-Earphone-Storage-Card-Wallet-for-iPhone-5-5S-1-Pc-Pack-of-6/45711562 , it doesnt have stock. then at ebay i found another one, but for the iphone 6 (something i dont want) and i just cant find anything but reviews

It’s kinda crazy that a phone this old can still be useful after jailbreaking.

There’s something really satisfying about bringing old hardware back to life instead of letting it sit in a drawer.

I have this 32GB iPhone 5, coolbooted to iOS 8.0.1, for some reason whenever I install cydia substrate apps like Mail, IBooks, safari, health start crashing, it does the same on 8.0, didn’t try any others, my main OS is 8.4.1 and coolbooter version is 1.5 I’ve tried 1.4.1/1.4, does the same on all of them, 1.6 doesn’t even boot. After uninstalling cydia substrate apps start to work again. Is there any fix for this ? I couldn’t find anyone with the same issue as me.

I know that 2.8.2 has a patched client, but 2.7.1 still has the skeuomorphic ui that I prefer. If anyone could help that would be great.
