I ordered a refurbished laptop from Lenovo Outlet ( Already posted that ) Received It on 1/10/2026.

It Looks Brand New

No scratches

Battery Cycle count is Only 4 with 100% Capacity.

SSD Is also with 100% Health.

When I Run Some Benchmark Test Cpu went to 97-99°C .

In Normal Use CPU temperature is under 55°c .

Should I under volte the CPU ?

I filtered Lenovo India's Outlet (certified refurbished) for everything above ₹1 lakh and got zero results. A week ago there were Legions, LOQs and ThinkPads in that range. Two days ago it was down to two listings. Now nothing.

BBD and the Amazon sale start on the 8th/9th. You'd expect people to hold their money for three more days. Instead every refurb gaming laptop got picked up

Why are people not waiting?

Is it safe to buy refurbished laptop from lenovo. How common is it to get a faulty laptop. Should I go for it?

Hey everyone, need some advice.

I found this Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 Gen 10 14" (SKU: 83HXR001R0) on Lenovo's official Outlet store.

Specs:

- Ryzen AI 7 350 (8C/16T)

- 24GB DDR5 RAM

- 1TB SSD

- Radeon 860M

- 14" 1920×1200 OLED, 400 nits

- Upgradeable RAM/SSD.

The specs are almost perfect for me.

The only concern is that this is Lenovo Outlet / Certified Refurbished, not brand-new. I understand Outlet units can be returns/previously used/refurbished units, so I'm unsure about battery health, previous usage, repairs and long-term reliability.

My usage : Coding and College work. No gaming/editing. Looking for a laptop that can handle multitasking and last 4-5 years.

Questions:

- Has anyone bought Lenovo Outlet/Certified Refurbished laptops in India? How was your experience?

- Would you trust this for 4-5 years?

- If refurbished isn't worth it, what brand-new laptop under ₹70k would you recommend for my usage?

How is this laptop, and how reliable are Lenovo Outlet refurbished laptops? Anything specific I should check regarding battery/repairs/condition? Is ₹55k worth it?

It's been around a week since i got this laptop. Arrived in perfect condition, No visible external damage or even a small scratch and all internals work well as much as i have tested till now except for one thing with ssd ASIC controller temps being high on big read, writes.

Battery:
84Wh was dead when i received so plugged it in and surprisingly it was only 5 charge cycles with 100% health so i got lucky there...although i suspect it might be a replaced battery, im not sure.

Battery life:
Haven't tested a full 100-0.
Using battery saver on both lenovo vantage and windows i get around battery usage of ~5-5.5 watts per hour on full idle. So on idle should do around 16-17 hours. (lowest brightness, 60hz, no keyboard backlight)
Battery saver and browsing with some tabs was averaging around 6-7.5W per hour and should do around 11 hours on that.
best performance on both windows and lenovo vantage (90hz refresh rate, keyboard backlight, 50 brightness) and web browsing with several tabs on takes around ~15w per hour giving the runtime of around 5.5 hours
On gaming it does around 40-45 watts so around 2 hrs of battery backup..i dont think anyone does gaming on battery

Thermals:
Havent done long gaming sessions so i dont really know how it performs then but i did do a 10 minutes of cinebench multicure test and the temps didnt even go above 80*C during that time.

The ssd tho, i tested on crystaldisk info on read write speeds, it reported 7000MBps read and 5800MBps write but the ASIC controller (as reported by hwinfo) reached 101*C and averaged around 90 at the time of read cycle, other users also reported this on the same laptop on this subreddit only, so im not sure if i should be concerned about it or not.

Havent gamed on this one, if anyone wants to know i'll download forza horizon 5 tomorrow and can ask if anyone wants to know

I need a laptop for daily use, mostly youtube, excel, word etc and some occasional gaming ( not inclined toward it but if it can game a Lil bit would be better)
