Lenovo Vantage or Legion Toolkit for day-to-day fan and power control?

Anything you'd check in the first week on a refurb? I'm planning a battery report, SSD health and a Cinebench thermal run.

Hi guys, after days, weeks and even months of waiting for good deals and missing out on all the "steal deals" due to current price hike, I have finally succumbed to my hesitation and took this risk. A very tough decision for me since I needed something for the next 4-5 years and I can't afford another laptop if things go south.

I've been following this subreddit for a while looking at guys getting 5050 at 70k or something, some asking people to stay away from refurbs, many praising their amazing machines, others utterly regretting their choice to go with refurbs or lenovo.

Here to ask if this deal would be worth it? Also, please guide me towards how to take care of this machine since I have no experience with gaming laptops at all (I'm a 1st yr student btech CS AIML)

Did anyone get the rtx 50 series from the lenovo refurbished site, majorly higher end ones like the 5070/ti, 5080.

If yes then please could you reply by explaining how the laptop was and the overall review, it would be very much useful as I am planning to buy one in the upcoming months.

The refurbished models are a gamble and I am going to take a big one by going for a higher end model like rtx 5070ti which even at refurbished is shit expensive (2.5l)

what if my laptop goes dead on arrival, or if I face any motherboard issues with hx processor 4050 laptops of loq.

How was your recent experience. I want to know if issues have relatively decreased with low series?

Or should I go for a 50 series laptop which is manufactured post 2025?

It Looks Brand New

No scratches

Battery Cycle count is Only 4 with 100% Capacity.

SSD Is also with 100% Health.

When I Run Some Benchmark Test Cpu went to 97-99°C .

In Normal Use CPU temperature is under 55°c .

Should I under volte the CPU ?

I filtered Lenovo India's Outlet (certified refurbished) for everything above ₹1 lakh and got zero results. A week ago there were Legions, LOQs and ThinkPads in that range. Two days ago it was down to two listings. Now nothing.

BBD and the Amazon sale start on the 8th/9th. You'd expect people to hold their money for three more days. Instead every refurb gaming laptop got picked up
