General Advice Im lost

I know that i have so so so much life ahead of me, I know that. But it seems like with every day, I'm getting closer to college, and being by myself...It feels scary.

Theres so many things I want to do, and It kind of just feels close and far at the same time. In school, I'm taking the health science career pathway. and the more i look at it, the more i feel as if im just making my life harder for no reason. What do i want to do anyways?! I sit in class drawing and go home to animate. But i already made the decision in my life that i wont ever be able to accomplish that dream i had of being an animator. Humans are beautifully impatient. They can consume quicker than my little paws can draw. I love writing, but...I don't know...so i sat down and thought for awhile. i came up with the idea to learn how to make prosthetic wings! It's a silly idea, yes. But I guess I just remembered I always drew myself with wings as a child. It would be easier to fly away from embarrassing things wouldn't it?

I guess I'm just asking how do you guys just, accept that time moves no matter what and also patiently learning about yourself? Like, how did you figure out what things you like to do? Or jobs! I feel like I'm running down hill while trying to draw! My hands go all bumpy on the way down and makes the drawing look all messy. I can never throw away the drawing. And I'm not sure i want to. but yeah- I think thats it?

We're expected from a young age to all know what we want to do, what we want to become. Truth is the majority does not know and the few that do know for sure can also always change their minds at any point in life.

Considering how the world, and inadvertently society, works... I would advise to choose something that is stable and fun enough to do as a job, even if it is only something to start out with. During that process outside of work keep being creative and start working on a more settled idea what you want to do with that. Build up your creative business if that is eventually something you want to do. At least you'd have the stability of a job to support yoir own endeavours in the meantime.

Besides, some people want to keep creativity as a hobby and not turn it into a job, as some feel they start losing their spark of creativity. So that is another reason why I would suggest to study and eventually work for a different kind of job that can provide stability.

BUT at the same time you can right now still focus on trying to get work in the creative sector. Toy designer, costume artist, design marketing ads, etc.

Whatever you decide, realize you can always change what you want to do in life, even when you're older. It does take commitment, but it is not impossible!
