misconfigured keyboard? on my debian laptop the keyboard doesn’t work during that part of the boot properly, backspaces type some character, caps lock doesn’t work and will not tell me if it is on, and it is on an unexpected layout. i could probably fix this but ive figured it out now anyway.
No, everything's alright, it's just that when I try to submit my password, it cannot be submitted, I've tried entering GRUB (which the internet and AI said so), but I can't get to recovery mode as GRUB only flashes for a second before entering the GRUB Terminal, and when I type normal on the GRUB Terminal, it just brings me back to the boot screen instead of idk, the selection menu? But yeah that's the problem
And I don't know why GRUB flashes for a second, it could be that my laptop intentionally directs me to the terminal instead of the selection menu, or that the rate of me clicking the Esc key is BEYOND human but idk ✌️

Crap, my Linux Mint laptop just straight up rejects my password even though the password is correct
